Nice modern rooms with great staff

Posted 04-Jul-2016
The staff at the hotel where excellent and went out of there way to help us. The room was fantastic obviously recently renovated. We used the Aqua buffet for dinner for both nights and it has an excellent selection of great food. The pool was great for the kids as was the large grass area beside the pool. I would highly recommend this hotel

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the ocean views from our room were fabulous and the buffet dinner and room service breakfast were delicious...great value for money. We definitely felt very relaxed and happy during our stay and will choose the Ville again next time we are in Townsville.

Professional

Posted 22-Jun-2016
Pros: Comfy bed, nice bathroom
Cons: Being able to use the fridge - it was full of overpriced useless crap, chocolate and alcohol - not favourite brands
Location: Well run casino. The cashless card play is a great idea. Handy restaurants.
Enjoyable stay looked after by capable staff. There is room to move. Great view. The big window was a challenge for the air con as the heat from the tropical sun had to be felt to be appreciated. We have returned here a number of times, and probably will again soon.

Weekend getaway

Posted 20-Jun-2016
Pros: Loved the king size bed. With a very tall husband hard to find rooms with a kingside bed
Cons: Everything was perfect
Location: Resort is out of the city centre so is a bit of a walk if you don't have a car. The beach front and Strand a a lovely walk.
We flew up from Brisbane for a wedding and chose the Ville Resort as it was central to where we had to go. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. We used the valet service which incured a small daily additional charge but well worth it. With a quick call down our car was ready whenever we wanted to head out. Room was spotless and modern with mini bar well stocked. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great weekend.

Best stay in Townsville except for the restaurant.

Posted 29-May-2016
Pros: Rooms recently renovated. Excellent views. Easy walk to the city. Staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: Restaurants a disappointment. More like a cafeteria than an upmarket restaurant.
Location: on the water, near to the city

Nice hotel, great views a couple of major flaws

Posted 02-May-2016 on Wotif
The Ville is a fantastic hotel with beautiful views and modern fittings. I booked a twin executive suite on the 2nd top floor. The type of room designed traditionally for family or corporate workers it surprised me that it had a clear glass window in the shower directly on to the room. Despite a privacy screen it's a very unwelcome feature. The beds were firm and had no top layer. Cheap mattresses hastily ordered during a renovation most likely. This made an otherwise nice stay uncomfortable. The two most important parts of the room (bed and bathrooms) were a major let down.
