We had a very relaxing week-end there, enjoying the pool and the stunning views of Montepulciano and Monte Amiata. The restaurant is a stand out! We dined under the trees and loved the menu which is interesting, both traditional and creative…well executed and presented. The staff was attentive and professional. All for a very fair price! Would gladly go back! PS: awesome friendly cats around the property…for cat lovers!

La Chiusa is beautiful, staff are very nice and the location fantastic; views from the property and situated next to Montifollonico with access to grocery store, pharmacy and super local restaurant (13 Gobbi). Rooms had a fridge but no kettle, coffee maker or even cups or glasses which was odd and would make a big positive difference so that you can make a hot drink or sip your own wine while enjoying the view! If you’re a foodie you will love the onsite restaurant, but it is a limited menu so a couple of visits will get you through it, but there is so much within sprucing distance you’ll want to get out anyway - so hire a car.

We loved our 4 day stay at La Chiusa and would stay again when in Tuscany. Beautiful boutique hotel with a great staff, delicious breakfast, excellent on site restaurant and magical views of Tuscany that we will dream about until we return. This is such a cute fun traditional Tuscan place to stay! Everywhere you look is an amazing view. The dinner was fantastic. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was super comfortable. The room, while rustic and vintage, was very nice. It was so peaceful and quiet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the drive through Tuscany to get there. Bonus that it’s near Maximus’s house from the gladiator movie sights!

This was probably one of the highlights of a two-week trip to France and Italy. The property is amazingly beautiful, the views outstanding, the staff amazing and the owner great! Would not have changed a thing. We loved our room, it was exactly what you would expect from a previous olive oil mill, the stone walls, the flooring. Everything was amazing.

La Chiusa was magnificent. Gorgeously restored historical property nestled in their own olive grove, caring attentive staff, and a young chef creating absolutely delicious new takes on traditional Tuscan classics. We walked around the grounds, did some stargazing, and enjoyed the personal attention and the cooking class. 12/10, 3 thumbs up, 6 stars. Can't recommend it highly enough. We cannot wait to go back.

Delightful stay with a wonderful view!

This was our first trip to Italy and we found that La Chiusa was a perfect spot midway through our trip. A relaxing & inviting environment with a picture perfect view! The rooms are as described, we had a delicious meal at the restaurant with great service and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. The gardens and grounds are well maintained and enjoyable to stroll. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Perfect Place in the Countryside of Tuscany

We stayed one night, which wasn’t long enough, so we will be back. This is a property best to be considered for a trip to relax, enjoy the amazing scenery and get restored. It is a 15 minute drive to the Montepulciano, in the middle of the countryside with incredible views across the valley. The rooms and property are charming with their brick floors, shutters and furnishings. Check in before 8 PM, and be sure to tell them at least one day ahead if you want to eat in the restaurant. Otherwise, you will have to go off property. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Not only were there the wonderful pastries, fruit, cheeses, meats,etc., they will make you eggs to order. Huge bathroom and tube in our room. Only suggestion, replace the cheeky US pictures with some nice local prints, and the vibe will be perfecto. Thanks, for the bottle of Prosecco in our room! It was a wonderful touch.

The setting is beautiful and the breakfast and dinner at their restaurant was amazing.The room we had facing the swimmingpool could have been more inviting with a walkway to reach the room with luggage. The room itself was nice. The furniture could have been a bit more practical with a bedside table etc. The bathroom was excellent, big and new.
