"The Good: Silvan saved this review. He was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. My son had a medication that needed to be refrigerated and he ensured that it was and that all staff knew about it so I could get it at any time. When we needed to be assigned a new room, he understood. He didn’t try to convince me I was wrong or fight me- he was just happy to make us happy. We thank you so much Silvan! The breakfast was also very good and coffee anytime you want it definitely a plus. They have the hospitality down! The location is great! Right next to the train station and easy walk to old town. The bad: When we first checked in we were given a family room on the old side of the hotel. It was horrific. Stains on the bed frame itself, a bathroom that the entire floor was the shower, and mold everywhere- I was afraid to touch anything. We were then given a room on the “renovated side” which although much cleaner didn’t have the extra bed we paid for! My husband and I had to share a queen size bed with our son. To top things off they give one pillow and it is too flat! We were not comfortable at all. I am still waiting on my partial refund for the fact that we paid for an extra bed for our son we never got. ***Note that renovations are going on next to the hotel and they start at 7am! Wish it was mentioned before we stayed. I know it is not something the hotel has control over so I do not hold it against them at all! I just wish we knew before hand. "

"Great breakfast. Wonderful location. So many dining options nearby. Clean room, comfy bed, hot shower. WIsh there was an iron in the room, and a refrigerator would be useful. "

"Air conditioner not working or at least not on during spring time (had to ask for a fan & open windows) fast, accesible elevator, free simple breakfast, plus free water dispenser, tea and coffee machine. Easy access up a bit uphill road, bring earplugs (a few are provided as well, but bring yours) it gets noisy at night. Beds are a bit hard, but yet comfortable, clean room + bathroom, perfect for a 2-3 nights. A beautiful commerce boulevard down the road, plus shopping plaza a few blocks away. Definitely recommend! If late check-in read your emails beforehand (there's a few steps to be done in the outdoor machine) easy to access but might be a bit complicated when arriving tired and late.."

"Super close to all the beautiful sites of Zurich, very clean property with professional staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was wonderful, great courtyard area and nice on-site bar. Would stay again."

"This hotel is old, run-down, and has numerous issues. It looks nothing like the photos online. Our hearts sank the moment we arrived and saw the filthy entrance: cigarette butts overflowing from a broken outdoor ashtray, trash scattered across the ground, and stained, faded carpeting leading inside. Unfortunately, the problems only escalated from there. Many things in the room were broken, missing, or dirty. We made multiple complaints, and while one or two issues were addressed, most were not. The list of problems included: • Cigarette burns on the bed and walls • Stained walls • Ripped and stained carpeting • In-room phone not working (eventually fixed) • Bathroom sink drain clogged • Shower drain clogged, causing the entire bathroom to flood • Extremely poor sound insulation — you hear everything outside, especially traffic • Only one manual key per room • Missing or nonfunctional devices • A cracked electrical outlet in the desk that literally sparked when touched • Overflowing cigarette butts at the entrance • Faded and stained carpet in the lobby • Lounge advertised as open but was closed • Error message on the Sleep Number bed Overall, this property is in serious disrepair and does not meet basic expectations for cleanliness, safety, or comfort. The few bright spots included a friendly staff, large rooms, an adequate breakfast, and although there were issues, the bathrooms were somewhat updated."
