This was my first time to Japan and I was travelling with a friend. We decided to stay at Hotel Shu because of the price and location. While we were ultimately not disappointed, you should know that the twin bed suite is very tiny - typical for anY Japanese apartment. Communication with the hotel via email was prompt, timely. However, at the front desk it was limited because of our understanding of Japanese. If you need to book a taxi, make sure to ask the staff 24 hours in advance! I would definitely stay again. The self check in was a breeze and the place was very clean. The location was a tremendous advantage.
