Overall lovely stay
Room was clean and staffs are extremely friendly. Parking space was small but plenty of off road parking. Food in the restaurant was delicious. There was a drone flying around which was a bit annoying though.

A piece of paradise (even in winter)!
Great place to stay, very friendly staff and spacious area for parking the boat! The accommodation is modern and warm and the view is fantastic.

The location is stunning, with the lawns going down to the lake shore. So peaceful. The ten rooms are spacious and well-appointed and the restaurant is excellent. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic accommodation at the southern end of Lake Taupo. Gorgeous views, lovely cottages, great restaurant on site. Highly recommend.

Great views, welcoming folks, fresh towels every day, friendly housekeeping. Good information about history of area and property - the accommodation would indicate a new property, but actually a historic location with some history to tell. One server was a descendant of the original property owner so could tell a lot to fill in. Food was good, but charged a surcharge for 'labor day' weekend to all diners - that came as a bit of a shock. Not a lot of other diners in the area, but it didn't matter to us.

This was our favourite place to stay. The young man who checked us in & was our waiter for dinner was fantastic a real asset to this place. The location was breathtaking. The food was exceptional. We wished we had stayed longer. Room was clean, lovely accommodation & place to stay. Thank you

An absolutely beautiful location and well thought out accommodation that epitomises the truly magnificent lake and geothermal area. Only thing missing was a natural thermal pool...still 5 stars!

South Lake Taupo
We crossed on the ferry from the South Island, this morning, after a night in Picton. The drive to Braxmere was perfect distance for our stop. The room was beautiful, clean, modern and quite lovely: on the lake, with bbq grill and lounge chair. Separate sleeping room from living room. Really reasonably priced for NZ. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely. Will stay here again.

Beautiful views, outdoor picnic table, BBQ all helped make this a wonderful stay. However, toilet in our room needed fixed and BBQ wasn’t starting very well.
