Quality Annex in Country House with Courtyard, Lake & Gardens.

Perfect break from everyday life!…

Andy and Anja are amazing hosts, communication was quick and detailed from the time of booking to the day we left. We were greeted on arrival and shown to the most delightful modern barn conversion where we stayed for 4 nights with our teenage son. When opening the fridge, we found a bottle of bubbles, on the table were a box of biscuits and a beautiful vase of flowers. The barn is fully equipped with many kitchen utensils and all the extras that normally go amiss for example tin foil, cling film, kitchen towel, hand soap and washing-up liquid to name just a few. Plenty of hand, bath and beach towels are provided and not only is there a hairdryer but a pair of hair straightener’s too! We could not fault the amount of thought that has gone into making this the most perfect staycation. The accommodation is ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway, we would also recommend for couples with a young family or in our case a young teenager who is happy to spend time with his parents! The property has acres of land, our son enjoyed feeding the ducks and geese and our two small dogs loved running around the fields. The location is perfect for exploring Devon, during our 4 night stay we were able to visit Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Lynton, Lynmouth and Exmouth. Somerset is also a short distance away. We enjoyed several evening meals out locally in Tiverton which also has a Tesco, Morrison’s and Marks and Spencer’s. And when we couldn’t believe this place could get any better, we were informed that during the coming months a jacuzzi and private garden/BBQ will be available to guests. Idyllic setting overlooked by Bickleigh Bridge, this is a real gem. Systems that are in place in the Covid 19 world are well thought through and carried out with courtesy and absolutely no fuss. Staff are lovely - nothing is too much trouble, they are friendly, helpful and cheerful. My room was well appointed and comfy. Food is good pub grub - delicious, hot, and plentiful. My husband & i stayed in the Hare room which was lovely. Great communication from clare, the manager re: check in & safe covid measures to take. Excellent location with pubs & restaurants within walking distance. We went to the swan & spelt for dinner, both great recommendations.it was perfect for a 3 night break... many thanks..David & Justine …

I enjoyed my stay completely, I'm the type of person who likes to keep to myself and this was Denver,the owners were always on hand if I needed anything but not over bearing as has been my experience in other establishments,the outside spaces were well kept and extremely tranquil,the room was well appointed and clean, the bed was great, best few nights sleep I've had in a long time, great location, comfortable room, outstanding hospitality, I cannot recommend this B&B enough…I enjoyed my stay completely, I'm the type of person who likes to keep to myself and this was Denver,the owners were always on hand if I needed anything but not over bearing as has been my experience in other establishments,the outside spaces were well kept and extremely tranquil,the room was well appointed and clean, the bed was great, best few nights sleep I've had in a long time, great location, comfortable room, outstanding hospitality, I cannot recommend this B&B enough

Beautifully Converted 18th Century Barn Set In A 150 Acre Private Devon Estate

We had a great time at the farm. Kids enjoyed riding the horses and going on hikes. Well placed for day trips around Devon. Lovely big communal area and en suites for all bedrooms a big plus. John welcomes us on arrival and was helpful in the lead up to our stay. Maggie incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.…
