"This oasis in Morocco was the most amazing stay of my life. Other than the jacuzzi not being hot enough I cannot rave enough. From the butler service, to the car service, to the food and the spa. The private villa was the most amazing with the shower doubling as a steam room. Amazing!!!"

"Great little breakfast, fantastic bar staff and waiters. Really good food at the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner. The location is pretty good with the main marketplace being walkable. Very traditional feeling in a good way! But... The room was outdated and looked nothing like the photos - our shower leaked every time it was used. Sun bathing towels weren't replaced as we needed to use them to prevent the shower from leaking. Reception staff felt rude, abrupt, and weren't helpful to resolve replacing towels, making inappropriate comments, arranging taxis without telling a price before getting in (which is a must in Morocco to ensure you don't get ripped off). Gym equipment is very outdated, especially the rowing machine. When we arrived, we were asked what sent to select to be sprayed on our bedding, a really nice touch, but unfortunately, I don't think the housekeeping staff sprayed anything as we didn't notice. Additionally, the bathroom was not clean or fresh feeling. At best, this is a 3 star hotel with some facilities. The restaurant staff were great and made for a very enjoyable experience, the pool was great to bath in during the heat, the food was very good and the cocktails were good. But, there's a lot to be said about the points above."

"Best stay we have had so far on all our visits to Marrakesh over the years. The complex is surrounded by the most beautiful well kept lush gardens which added to the whole relaxed feel of the hotel. Of course it’s remote, but most are, however I feel that’s better so you can dip in and out of the busy sights and Medinas if you want and free shuttle anyway or cheap taxis all day. I had decided not to return to Morocco a couple of years ago but Barcelo has completely changed our minds and will 100% return. Staff amazing, and not in your face in restaurants or mither, like some other hotels. Room adequate size and spotless. Choice of quiet pool and slightly busier one with more than enough beds all day. Thank you and see you next year."
