"There is a nice front porch to have your coffee and always a nice breeze off the lake in the back yard for cocktail hour!The best part is that the Harbor Hotel and the water front bar - The Lucky Hare, are within a very short walking distance. Every now and then a train goes by slowly , adding to the charm. You can hear the engineer blow the whistle, so you have time to watch it go by. This is our 3rd year"

"I was very concerned booking this hotel after reading some reviews but it worked out well. The room we had has been remodeled and is nice for a simple sleep and shower stay. It’s not fancy or decorated but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is so convenient and everything is walkable. The ice cream is good."

"The property was very clean and centrally located. For the price, it was a great deal. The host provided all amenities for the stay, including soap, trash bags, etc. Everything was fairly new and in great condition. My only setback was that, while the back of the property was on the beautiful lake, the front door was merely feet away from a busy road. We didn’t stay in the house much during the day, but as a light sleeper, I wish I had paid more attention when booking. The noise from tractor trailers late at night and early in the morning interfered with my sleep. That is my fault, though, as I see the pictures in the listing but just wasn’t familiar enough with the area to draw any conclusions about the road noise. Overall I would deal with this host again, she was very informative and allowed us to check in an hour early. The price matched the listing when comparing other options on the lake."
