A lovely experience and great place to stay in the city

We opted to stay here mainly for the commanding view this hotel has over the bridge and opera house and from that perspective it didn’t disappoint Had a better view than the bar on 36th floor / where the drinks were reasonably priced surprisingly. Great location to walk to circular quay and recommend the .Brew co nearby got breakfast (always prefer to out of hotels if possible)

Loved everything about this property,we were upgraded to penthouse suite,really nice staff,lovely breakfast with choice,great location on the rocks,easy walking to everywhere,everything spotlessly clean,we have stayed at this hotel 3 times before and wouldn't consider anywhere else,if your looking for a hotel that clean,excellent friendly staff,great location then this is the hotel for you,it's also got full kitchen, washer/dryer everything you need,book it,you won't be disappointed.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in. Great location and fab views of harbour from roof terrace. Staff friendly and helpful,clean bedroom and shared kitchen area plus a good size kitchen and communal area. Would stay again anytime,I fully recommend it ,it's a bit pricier than a hostel generally but it's worth it!

This is a good, honest hotel in the most brilliant location a few steps from Circular Quay. The staff were very helpful and I would stay here again without hesitation.

Fantastic stay for 4 night over New year. Walking distance from cruise terminal ( that included us wheeling all our suitcases). Very lucky to have one of the room overlooking the Opera house so premier view of fireworks for new year, Pros: staff very helpful and polite . Stored our cases for a few days while we went to Hunter Valley Pool and spa tub great place to relax from early morning to evening Perfect for family as small kitchen and plenty of space walking distance to ferries...

Perfect Sydney getaway

Stayed here for 8 nights and would recommend. Great location just round the corner from the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Good atmosphere, great bands. Might not be to everyone's liking if you don't like live music late at night and are trying to sleep ( but bands only on late at the weekend). Rooms are fairly basic but comfortable so if you're looking for very reasonably priced accommodation ( which includes free breakfast) I'd say The Mercantile is a good choice.

Great hotel, centrally located with large rooms and good food and drink options. Definitely worth staying there. Will go back.

Our room was lovely. Very quiet and clean. All the necessary toiletries, equipment and safe. Got upgraded and had view over Sydney Harbour Bridge. Best thing about this hotel is it's location which is second to none if you are wanting to be near all the touristy things. Breakfast superb with everything you could possibly wish for. Bed very comfy and huge. Sylvesters restaurant was excellent and very good value with our $50 off voucher. Very good value too for a top rate hotel.

I was happy with the 3 nights I stayed. Loved the big mirrors on the dresser doors and the beds were comfortable. Staff were very nice to me.
