This river is an open waterway to the Kaag Lakes, the Braassemmer Lake and the city centre of Leiden. The perfect location to take a tour by boat on Saturdays across the culinary market or pay a visit to one of the cosy little restaurants on the water. The surroundings offer a wealth of recreation possibilities. The golf course is within walking distance and the same applies to the sauna, tennis courts, sports school, restaurants, supermarket and the centre of Warmond. The Warmonder forest is just opposite the resort. You can easily reach the beach for a nice walk with a fresh sea breeze. This central location ensures that all possibilities are within reach. We really enjoyed our stay. The Kaag Resort is located in Warmond, which is a lovely town in the Netherlands. We used this property as a home base to explore the Amsterdam, Lieden, and Volendam. Also, with just a five minute drive, there are wonderful restaurants, a grocery store, bakery and butcher nearby. The apartment was perfect for us, spacious, and there was a washer/dryer. My favorite was the nice patio overlooking the marina. I loved to just sit on the patio and watch the boats go by. I really enjoyed my time here, I hope to go back someday, and stay at this place again. I would high recommend it. ##### Karin M. Übrigens kann man nur wenige Meter entfernt selbst ein E-Boot ausleihen - ohne Fahrerlaubnis. Gleich gegenüber ist eine viel befahrene Bahnlinie und die FeWo liegt in der Einflugschneise vom Flughafen Schiphol. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern hört man den Lärm aber nicht. Gemäß Hausordnung gilt eine Ruhezeit zw. 22 und 8 Uhr. Leider hat sich eine Familie mit kleinen Kindern direkt neben uns nicht daran gehalten... Insgesamt aber sehr schöner Urlaub. Werden wieder in die Niederlande reisen. PS: Bei Gelegenheit vielleicht mal den Toaster austauschen, der sah nicht mehr so gut aus. ##### Diana N. The view from the balcony was stunning. We loved the area and had great days out in Leiden, Amsterdam and Rotterdam which were all easy to get to. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to go back in the future. A couple of things weren't quite right on the listing (No oven, just a microwave and no half bath) and the property is right next to a busy train line which didn't bother us at all but might not suit everyone.
