"The property is big. When we checked in, our room wasn’t ready so the front desk told us we could eat lunch at their restaurant (Crenshaw) first. We got lost making our way there. Then after lunch we got lost making our way to the elevators for 5th floor. That all was super frustrating. Shelby - a super nice young lady and Paul - at front desk immediately apologized. They noted that in future they will give a property map when guests check in. Anthony at front desk was super gracious. Tye entire valet and front entrance staff are also wonderful. All cleaning staff was amazing and rooms are very clean We had a nice room on 5th floor with beautiful views. Self parking is easy. It’s a large priority so be ready to get your steps in when walking to and from Parking space - we liked getting our steps in. Velvet Joe staff is absolutely warm and wonderful and we loved getting our morning coffee and snack here. I had gone for work bit Ho early wouldn’t mind going back in a winter month with all my family again, just to relax for a week. Gracious staff makes all the difference even if the property itself is wonderful (which it is). "

"Perfect! Very clean, fully stocked (including towels for the lake and life jackets!), lots of space and docks were fantastic. Lauren was very responsive, super easy experience. Casita has a big king bedroom and the most adorable, super fun bunk room, full kitchen and fridge, etc... Main house was beautiful and comfy and has another 2 beds and 2.5 bath. Everything we needed and more. Loved it! Highly recommend! "

My wife and I brought our boat and enjoyed several perfect days on one of the most beautiful rivers in Texas. The private dock is ideal—easy to access, secure, and perfect for both relaxing and launching.We also loved using the kayaks and canoes provided, and hosted a few unforgettable evenings with friends and family on the spacious, scenic grounds. Everything about this place is thoughtful and welcoming. We’re already looking forward to our next stay."
