Prachtig Designhuis, Rustige Ligging, Zwembad, Speeltuin, Fietsen in de Duinen
"Sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus im Ferienpark De Krim. Wir waren mir 5 Personen für 2 Wochen vor Ort und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Das Haus bietet alles an Ausstattung was man benötigt. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden nicht über De Krim sondern über einen separaten, vom Vermieter beauftragen, Wäscheservice bereitgestellt. Küche ist super ausgestattet. Zum Strand (Paal 28) sind es 10 Min mit dem Rad durch die Dünen. Die Einrichtungen des Parks (Schwimmbad etc.) sind nutzbar. Optimiert werden könnte der Außenbereich. Der Tisch und die Stühle unter dem Vordach waren rostig und konnten nur eingeschränkt genutzt werden. Hinter dem Haus standen aber weitere Gartenmöbel."

"Lovely little b&b on Texel in Den Hoorn, quiet village on the south of the island not far from port. Great base to explore the island. Cosy comfortable room and plentiful breakfast, free tea and coffee all day which was bonus"
Holiday house in a quiet location
"Wir, mit 5 Personen gereist, waren überwiegend zufrieden. Das Mobiliar ist etwas veraltet, doch die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet und die Vorhänge neu, so dass die Schlafräume gut abgedunkelt werden können. Leider war die Matratze in dem kleineren Schlafzimmer durchgelegen und an dem Lattenrost fehlen mindestens 2 Leisten, so dass das schlafen recht ungemütlich war. Auch die Latten in dem unteren Etagenbett sind lose und die Person, die darin liegt muss aufpassen, dass er/sie nicht samt Matratze durchbricht.Die letzten 2 Tage unseres Aufenthaltes funktionierte zudem das WLAN nicht. Eine Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war nicht möglich. Nach drei Nachrichten an diese, habe ich leider bis heute keine Rückmeldung erhalten."

"The room was not bad. The bathroom was clean, but the floor in the room itself wasn't (sand, dust, etc.) The bed was nice and soft. The bedding was fresh and clean. The room is very basic. No mini-fridge or kettle or anything like that. There were also things like torn wall paper and other wear-and-tear. Overall, we stayed for just one night and were quite satisfied."

"Loved this hotel. Friendly, quality furnishings and food. In the middle of a cute village. Easy to get to by bus from the ferry. Hired a good bike nearby. No need to book bike ahead in June. This little island is heaven on a bike on sunny day."

Pocket Guide: North Holland Texel Island Hotels
Texel is the biggest of the Wadden Islands of the Netherlands. Take a bike ride along the bright yellow flower fields during the spring, hike in the National Park Dunes of Texel or visit Ecomare and see seals and porpoises from up close. The island is a paradise for bird lovers; an experienced bird watcher can spot 100 species of birds in one day.
De Cocksdorp
De Cocksdorp is the newest town on the island. Located in the north, the most popular sight is the 34 metre high lighthouse ‘de Eierland’. Make sure you take a ride on the authentic Texel horse tram.
De Koog
De Koog is the coastal town of Texel and is located in the west, directly next to the North Sea. An important attraction of this town is Ecomare: a nature museum and seal sanctuary.
Den Burg
Den Burg is the biggest settlement and also the capital of the island. Den Burg is a lively place, with a public pool, a cinema and a lot of shops.
Den Hoorn
Den Hoorn is the southern-most village. During spring, the flower fields are bright yellow, thanks to the blooming daffodils - take your camera.
Make sure you pay a visit to the National Park Dunes of Texel. This area of exquisite natural beauty covers almost the whole west side of the island. You will find countless bike and walking routes, of which the Sommeltjespad is very popular with kids. This route was named after the Sommeltjes - kind, mythical creatures from fairytales. Another great part of the park is the Slufter: an area with broad dune valleys, where sea water pours in during high tide.
