The Tet Paul Nature Trail is one of the most popular attractions in Soufrière, in the southwest of St. Lucia. See abundant tropical vegetation, enjoy numerous amazing views of the island and discover the history of the first inhabitants of the land.

Walk along the picturesque trail and take stunning photos of popular places in the area, like the majestic twin peaks Gros Piton and Petit Piton. Appreciate the magnificent views of the southern side of St. Lucia, including the famous Jalousie Bay. Enjoy the panorama of distant beautiful spots, like the islands of Martinique and St. Vincent.

Continue your hike and discover the interesting flora growing all along the track. Find beautiful native species and beneficial plants used for medicinal purposes. Marvel at the wide variety of trees growing in the area. Among these, you will spot some exotic fruit types, like the guava and the soursop trees.

While you are hiking in the Tet Paul Nature Trail stop at some of the interesting places along the way. Visit the Kaye Kassav, also known in English as the Cassava House. Here you can learn about the traditional production of cassava, a starchy tuberous root of tropical trees used as food in some countries. Go see the Traditional House as well, to get to know the interesting history and the culture of the ancestors of St. Lucia’s modern residents. Walk through a working organic farm and discover more about the life and the work of the local farmers in Soufrière. Then finish your beautiful walk with a picnic surrounded by nature.

The Tet Paul Nature Trail has an easy to moderate difficulty rating and is very good for families and groups to enjoy. It takes about 45 minutes to complete and there are knowledgeable local tour guides available for hire. Find this lovely hike full of colourful scenery, nature and local culture about a 10-minute drive from Soufrière’s town centre.
