"Splendido hotel ristorante ad un passo dal Lago di Como e facile da raggiungere sia con l'auto sia con il la linea ferroviaria Trenord che parte da Milano Cadorna. La nostra permanenza è stata molto piacevole e tranquilla. La camera molto spaziosa e silenziosa con un letto molto comodo ed un bagno con doccia che ha soddisfatto le nostre esigenze. Menzione speciale va fatta al ristorante dell'hotel accessibile sia agli ospiti sia alla popolazione. Il menù molto raffinato e particolare e i prezzi...

"Fell in love with the views from our room on the 2nd level. Fantastic staff, very nicely decorated rooms, one of the best restaurants in town is attached to the hotel. You will be right around the corner from the funicular which takes you up to San Vigilio that has the best views. You’ll definitely enjoy yourself here. "

The staff were friendly and helpful and were made to feel very welcome especially by Massimo on our arrival which was quite late evening. The small town of Calolziocorte is very pleasant and the location of the hotel by the river is lovely. "The hotel/guesthouse is easily reached from the centre of Milan by metro followed by a short walk (past a nice bakery). Il Girasole looks unconventional, being a converted factory building. A nice courtyard is hidden behind a metal entrance door. Matteo and his brother are extremely nice hosts, who can provide enthusiastic advice on sightseeing in Milan. Our room was one of the two behind the courtyard which, unfortunately, the WiFi signal from the main building didn't reach - but was fine if...

"The breakfast was actually really good. They were still delivering to the room, which I actually quite enjoyed. My room wasn’t the best layout. Kinda cramped and the small TV was hilarious. But everything else was quite good. I even appreciated the little stool in the bathroom. I slept well. It may be in need a remodel, but for the price I paid, I was quite happy."
