Spring break

Posted 28-Mar-2016
Pros: It is a true ski in and out. The pool and spa were great! Everyone is very nice and accommodating.
Cons: The only issue I had was a request for a wake up call for the day I was leaving. This request was never met. Luckily, I woke up on my own.
Location: Location is perfect and near shops and restaurants.
We stayed here in 2009 when it was under different management, but our experience this time was just as great and couldn't ask for more.

A great hotel if you're skiing in Telluride

Posted 25-Feb-2016
Location: It is about a 10 minute walk to the free gondola, which takes you down to the town of Telluride. The scenery is spectacular.
This hotel is truly ski-in, ski out. A special run takes you right up to the hotel's ski valet, and right back out to the slopes when you're ready to start skiing again. There is a huge spa, the largest in Colorado, so big I got lost in it. The hotel is well maintained, an electrician responded quickly when I complained about a defective wall outlet. The room was very comfortable. On the negative side, expedia said my valet parking would be free. It was not. Room service wasn't that great, the food was almost cold when it arrived.

Only thing great about hotel is ski valet

Posted 20-Feb-2016
Ski valet was only part of hotel that hustled . Room service took forever and it took forever for them to pick up phone

Great mountain location, but way over-priced.

Posted 16-Feb-2016
Pros- good location with ski in and ski out access. Friendly car and ski valet attendants. Nice fire pits and good views. Cons- we did not get the room we booked- front desk was not accommodating. We ended up in a pet room- dirty and loud with a lousy mattress. There was a power outage during our stay- pool and hot tub were out of service. No hot water or lights in the room. This hotel made No offer for reduced rate or future stay voucher. All we got was some free food handouts. Restaurant was overpriced with OK food. Overall it was not a good experience for over $350 per night.

Nice resort...avoid the restaurant

Posted 01-Feb-2016
Pros: Ski in ski out
Cons: The restaurant staff needs to get a clue
Location: Ski
The Peaks is a great ski in ski out resort in Telluride. I really liked the attentive hotel staff....the door valet and ski valet are at the top of their game. The downside is the Palmyra restaurant staff inside the hotel. We could not get any good service at all. 20 minutes to just get a drink order while at the uncrowded bar. Then...the hostess turned her back to us while we stood waiting for a table at her post for 10 minutes. The restaurant was not even full or busy. The menu offers plates for an average of $30 for dinner entrees...if you can get one. There are other places to eat within walking distance....that is what I recommend.

Quick Ski Weekend

Posted 15-Jan-2016
Pros: Ski In/Out Location
Location: SKIING!
Usually rent a large house but just 2 of us coming for a quick ski weeekend. For the most part staff were nice, place is kept up well but a few things (like stains dripping on the wall in room) are par for the course in a hotel but are something house keeping should see. Ski in/out is great and while you HAVE to pay the $25 resort fee the access to the pools, fitness center, sauana and steam room are worth it after a day skiing.

Great Vacation

Posted 04-Jan-2016 on Hotels
A great, convenient hotel located slope side in Telluride. It needs some work as it is getting older and it is starting to show. Don't let that discourage you, the service is outstanding, and we would definitely return.

Great location for ski in and ski out!

Posted 26-Dec-2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Rooms were very hot (in winter!). No A/C.
Great location for skiing. Beautiful views from the lobby. Nice coffee/breakfast bar that was pried reasonably. The BIG problem for us is that our room on the 4th floor was very, very hot. The hotel does not have Air conditioning, so even with the room windows open, the room was uncomfortably warm our entire stay. The outside temps ranged from 2 degrees to 30 degrees, yet even with the cold outside temps we could not get the room cooled down. Other guests complained of the same problem. For this reason, I would not consider returning to this hotel unless there were simply no other options available.
