Pros: Localisation et propreté
Hotel propre et convivial. Logé dans un village de montagne "artificiel" mais plaisant. Base de téléphérique à côté de l'hotel.

Nice property but strange interactions with staff

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Pros: Location, bathroom design, bed comfort, balcony
Cons: Air conditioning was disabled and room was very hot. Do not assume that uniformed men entering your room is no big deal.
The location is amazing and the property is nice. Breakfast was good in the hotel’s restaurant. The view from the balcony, over the golf course and mountains, was fantastic. The room was comfortable. We had one very notable complaint, as follows: We called down at around midnight when we realized there was no remote for the TV. Reception said somebody from housekeeping would be up shortly. A few minutes later there is a VERY LOUD knock on the door with a voice saying "Engineering!" I open the door and two large men are standing there, in what look like Park Ranger uniforms. The one asks me if I need a remote. I say yes. He says that he must program the remote. Both men enter the room. Long story short, here is the correct way to do this: Send one person, not two, to a guest’s door for a simple request like this. Next, do not presume to enter the room. Ask nicely to enter the room, or explain via a phone call that someone will need to enter the room. Much less TWO UNIFORMED MEN at midnight, to provide a remote control that should have been there in the first place. If I was alone, I wouldn’t have minded so much. But my lady was in the room. We both felt the encounter was bizarre, especially for an upscale hotel. Aside from that, the hotel was good. Too many add-on fees, however. Charge a price and be done with it. Also, if you charge a $25 per day Valet fee, why then allow Valet staff to accept tips? The tipping culture in this country is out of control.

80 degree room and no air conditioning!

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Pros: The bed was comfortable, and the hot water, is crazy, crazy hot.
Cons: Air conditioners put in the rooms. It was way too hot to be comfortable. That or close when it is over 70 degrees outside.
Location: Telluride if beautiful. The free gondola rides are awesome.
1st: Valet area is tiny. It is always a zoo because there is no space. There is no parking, valet only. So, you have to wait and then wait some more while they shuffle cars in and out of the tiny little lot. They charge you mightily for the privilege, also. People were getting very upset. 2nd: This was the biggest disappointment. No A/C. Seriously, none. I understand we are in the mountains and it doesn't usually get too hot, but any cheap room on any interstate in the country has A/C in their rooms. My room was around 80 degrees when I walked in. The main reason I booked the room was to have a great night's sleep in a 65 degree room. That wasn't an option. There was a heater only thermostat on the wall. I honestly thought I was missing something. I called guest relations and was told to turn on the fan. I slept with the sliding door completely open and it never got near cool. Of course I couldn't sleep in because of the light and noise at about 6:00 am. Very disappointed, especially for the amount of money they charge. 3rd: No ice machine. Well, they have one, but it was broken. 4th: The game room didn't have anything in it. There was a pool table and a table tennis table, but no balls, sticks or paddles. No remotes for the TV's in there either. 5th: Laundry room didn't have a change machine. I probably would have forgiven all of it if the room had A/C.

Nice location but quality not there for the price

Posted 24-Jul-2016
i have visited every year in July for the last 6 years and the drastic increase this year did not represent any additional quality or extra service. Room had plumbing issues that the staff addressed in a timely manner but they just rigged the fix just to delay proper repair. At 220 per night I expected to be relocated to a different room. That would have maybe justified the additional cost for the room. I guess new owners don't value loyalty.

Hotel with Beautiful Views!!!

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Pros: Staff was on top of things
Cons: Restaurant, and spa schedules need to be better regulated.
Location: Wonderful restaurants across the street. Fun activities for the kids and adults - hiking galore. great free gondola to Telluride and wonderful hiking
The people were nice, but some of the amenities were not as expected. I went to enjoy a a class provided by the fitness club and they never showed up in the room that I was sent too. Also, the new restaurant , which was recently taken over by a new chef, was in need of some help. Yes, they hired wonderful people but have not trained them well. They need to give their employees good training by letting them taste the items on the list so they can give advise. We had the mussels and the sausage that accompanied it was overcooked. The tagallini pasta with was ok- but the pasta was way over cooked and rubbery. We also had to wait too long for our dessert- 1/2 an hour. The accommodations were very nice and as expected in a high end resort and spa. Again the staff was very kind and on top of things. I am sure they will get things on target with the restaurant sooner rather than later as the staff was new.

All around terrific hotel!!

Posted 22-Jul-2016
Beautiful hotel and amazing views!!! Would definitely stay here again. The bed was comfortable, quality accomodations and spacious bathroom. I am a Texan and am accustomed to air condition. No air in the hotel room we stayed in. It was warm but we made due with the fan above the bed and the portable one in the room. Just keep in mind when you are in Colorado.

Excellent. Pool hours are too short and too much closing for rain without thunderstorms nearby.

Excellent location, good price

Posted 21-Jul-2016
Pros: Location, price
Cons: Cleanliness of rooms, facilities - particularly the pool area - need a facelift.
Location: Fantastic location very near the free Gondola which takes you directly into the city of Telluride. We never needed to use a car.
We arrived to find the drain in the bath wasn't functioning. This was repaired promptly after seeking a room change if it wasn't repaired. At bed time we found dirty sheets in the sofa bed. This was also attended to promptly. Our in-room phone was broken so we had to go down to the front desk to seek help each time. We initially planned to stay just 1 night in this hotel but agreed to stay a 2nd night after front desk staff offered a reduced rate in an upgraded suite to make up for the initial issues. I had never been to Telluride and if now is the time to be honest with you, I don't even know why exactly we drove there. Probably a House Hunters episode or Buzzfeed article. That being the case, this hotel turned out to be within a very short walk of the Gondola. The Gondola is free public transport to bring you directly into the town of Telluride. It can also take you directly to a grocery store. The Gondola is a big deal in Telluride.

Beautiful Hotel and location, but...

Posted 03-Jul-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Air conditioning
Location: With the free gondola, you can easily enjoy Mountain Village and Telluride.
This hotel was great. Pool bar employees, were very helpful. I am sure this is amazing in the Winter, but in the Summer when it is very warm, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Everything at the hotel and surrounding is pretty expensive, so you just expect to get a good night sleep as well.
