The Clansman Motel

The Clansman Motel

10/10 Excellent
"I like that the property was so close to the highway, very easy access. Although it was not a new build, it was exceptionally clean, well maintained, bed was very comfortable, instant hot water, quiet area and the staff were friendly and helpful, and plenty of parking. Very affordable! Takeaways, The safety lock on the door was dated, the office was small ( maybe under construction) . The tv was small which is a moot point, as we weren’t there to watch tv. I would definitely stay there again."

"Good size room, comfy bed and pillows, room was clean. A little dated with plugs etc loose in the wall and the bathroom sink hard to use but overall would recommend for the area. Staff were lovely. Breakfast at $18 per person we skipped but the dining area looked lovely."

"The resort had a relaxing vibe. The gardens were beautiful. The staff very friendly and helpful. Big shout out to the gentleman where we rented paddle boards ( very personable and helpful). The music man at your pub was great and a nice place to gather with our new friends we met from a tour bus. Rooms were very clean and the shades were appreciated ( my wife is a light sleeper so the darker the room the better, at night) Breakfast was yummy and an amazing view of the bay. For us non coffee drinkers, would you add a few teas in the room..please. The local golf course was great and sooo close. We WILL be back"

"Our host, Vince was very welcoming and amusing. He was very helpful orienting us for our tour of the Cabot Trail. (We're sorry that we didn't get to meet Tina, but wish her well in her hospital recovery.) The waterfront view just outside our window was amazing. Wished we could have stayed longer."

"We only stayed 1 night to start our Cabot Trail drive. The room was clean and very nice but the beds were too hard. If you have back issues, keep that in mind. The location is wonderful, unfortunately we didn't get to stay long enough to enjoy Baddeck on its own."

"Small view of water from the balcony. It was raining, so we were not able to sit on the balcony. I would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Room cleanliness was good. The staff was helpful. Parking is in the parking lot or around the building on an unpaved area. No elevator in the house for guests. We had a room on the third floor with a good view from the balcony. You will need to carry your bags up the stairs if you want to stay in the house. The room had a TV in it. I would have preferred a desk to write. The Inn does not provide breakfast, but you can pay extra for an excellent dinner in the evening in their dining lounge."
