"I can't fault the cleanliness of hotel. Reception polite My only grievance was faint but growing smell of sewage in bathroom l stayed in room 3. I should have mentoned it to staff but did not wish to make issue in case another guest overheard. I only stayed 1 night as booked but would have mentioned it and asked to change rooms if longer stay. I have stayed at here few times previously without any fault . "

"There were power cuts in the village which caused a multitude of problems for the staff but they went the extra mile and did everything they could to make all the guests as comfortable as possible. On that basis alone, we would highly recommend. "

"Had a meal in Starling Cloud next door and was very ill afterwards. No way to prove for sure if it was caused by the food."

"Difficult to assess as visited in early March, so very much out of season. No hot food on premises. Swimming pool cool (heating issues) on the two occasions we tried, Steam room and jacuzzi were OK, Sauna was out of action. Pool Showers out of action on first visit. Enjoyed the 9 hole pitch and putt. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in the Manor House (a one bedroom apartment), rooms were spacious but real mix of quality of furnishings. Plenty of hot water and ample heating. Outside areas looking in need of work (uneven paving slabs etc)."

"Good stop over for 1 night, great view of the beach from the room, staff were lovely. Room was a bit creaky as we heard other people in rooms moving around but apart from that, no issues."

"Got to hotel only to be told by staff that the twin bedroom I had booked wasn't available and that they only had a double room for us. Had to complain to the manager to get them to change it. Shame as the room was clean tidy and had good facilities."
