The beach was very nice but sloping and the sea shelved off pretty quickly so that you were treading water within 4 metres from the shore. There is a floating pier that was fun to walk along when the waves were strong and undulating. For those needing to connect to Wifi, it was easily accessible around the pool and on the hotel lounge chairs that lined the property next to the beach. The hotel had a library, well stocked with mainly German and Swedish books but there was a small selection of English. The breakfast is good and plentiful, but early in the morning the birds were always sneaking in to eat the bread if a guest left it uncovered, so we were always making sure to cover it well. However, this can be a problem in many beachside hotels in Southeast Asia.
