The rooms were excellent, and we stayed in very high-end bungalows just a minute's walk from the beach. The breakfast buffet, included in our room, was great and offered a variety of delicious options. The resort's location is ideal, with just a five-minute walk to town where it's easy to catch a "song thaew" (taxi) to nearby sites. While the stretch along the main road in Khao Lak isn't very nice, staying down on the beach made all the difference. The beach area is perfect for relaxation, and there are countless great diving options nearby. The resort features two nice pools right by the beach, and they offer free boogie boards for ocean fun. Although the immediate beach area isn't the nicest, a short five-minute walk takes you to a much nicer stretch of beach. They also have free bikes available, and I recommend using the mountain bikes as the locks on the more leisurely bikes can get stuck easily.
