Villa Arenella is a beautiful villa surrounded by a palm garden, a solarium and a wide swimming pool with a diving board. Outside, you will find a veranda with wooden tables and wicker chairs for enjoying cocktails and moments of relaxation in the evening, as well as a terrace with a view of the surroundings. Our villa comes with two double bedrooms, a twin one and finally a top-floor room with a double bed and two single beds, that gives access to the wide terrace with a view. A toilet and two bathrooms with shower are available, in which one is upstairs, while on the ground floor, a welcoming and bright living room with fireplace and TV will let you relax by looking at the veranda outside. Villa Arenella is the perfect choice for your holidays: indeed, a paradise. \*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. It was not properly clean, many things were broken (shower head held straight with string, arms off chairs, the toilet seat was broken, the air con controls were lost to one bedroom meaning we couldn't work it etc), the electricity tripped multiple times a day & night and the trip box was outside of the property down the lane, the shower ran cold after 2 minutes every time, there was never any hot water for washing up in the kitchen, there were ants and biting bugs everywhere. There was insufficient provisions for a property for 9\. For example, there were 4 mugs for coffee. Despite asking the local host to help, we were fobbed off with "this is normal here". We were also asked to sign a contract in Italian, and when we needed it in English we were told we were the first people ever to ask for it in English, and nothing was fixed despite us asking. A really disappointing 50th celebration. The only good thing was the pool - which was lovely. But the chairs around the pool were old and tatty. ##### Wendy E. Ça s’est super bien passé. Les personnes qui s’occupent de la maison sont très disponibles et arrangeantes. Il y a le linge fourni. La maison est idéalement placée , l’extérieur est top pour les enfants , ils peuvent jouer au ballon sur le parking par exemple et profiter de la piscine (mais piscine non sécurisée, non chauffée) La maison est dans son jus d’il y a 20ans mais comme on vit dehors et qu’on est toujours en vadrouille , ce n’est pas très gênant. On est partis fin avril et on avait très froid dans la maison, prévoir des pyjamas chauds pr les enfants. Il n’y a pas de lave -vaisselle. La maison était très propre. ##### Justine H. The supplies in the house, and the general quality of the house needs an update with new outdoor furniture, madrasses, kitchen cookware etc. The garden, the pool and the house looks stunning and you find your way to downtown Syracysa in less than 20 minutes. If you plan to stay more than 6 people make sure that you have sufficient outdoor furniture for your amount of people. ##### Claus F. The sea is really near, and you can swim off the rocks in stunning water. We loved the fresh fruit and vegetable market nearby. The pool really is outstanding and we loved the convenience of the little huts at the end of it. The house itself is ok - it needs some modernisation and work done on electric sockets and so on. We encourage you strongly if you hire this villa to ensure that the owners provide a secure safe to lock up your valuables, as unfortunately the house, due to its wooden shutters and window frames can easily be broken into. We were a party of 8 adults and 2 small children and all loved our stay. The outside space is fantastic with multiple areas to sit out in the sun or shade. The garden is green and beautiful. And the pool is large, clean and inviting. The host was responsive and helpful before we arrived and arranged two cots for the small children. All in all we are very happy guests. This is a large well equipped villa with the most spectacular private pool and garden which is regularly serviced. Clean villa, lots of space and host helpers of host very friendly and helpful. Peaceful and lovely. Easily sleeps 8-9\. It is near Lido Arenella beach which is nice, if a little careworn. Beach at Vendicari Nature Reserve stunning (40 mins). Or drive (you definitely need a car) to the exquisite Baroque towns of Noto (30mins) or Ortigia in Siracuse (15mins). Fontane Bianche beach is fantastic . Host friendly and organised. We had a great time at Villa Arenella with my family and two couples of friends. It's a beautiful house, big, comfortable, clean and perfect for every age. Every one enjoyed the swimming pool, especially the children. Arenella sandy beach is only 400 mt from the villa and very close to the city. The Villa has everything we needed: there's a bbq outside of the house, the swimming pool is big and clean, there's the wi-fi connection and different covered veranda. The garden is very large and with different tropical palm! We definitly loved this Villa and also Siracusa. The Host was very nice, helpful and answers really quickly at all our questions. He is a very great host ! The pool is really big and gorgeous. The house is clean and rooms are really comfy. It is perfectly located in Sicilia to explore all the south & east of the island : Syracusa, Catania, Noto, Taormina, Noto, Agrigento, The sandy beach of Arenella is very close, a small walking!
