This elegant apartment offers the perfect accommodation for large families or groups of friends who want to enjoy the quiet of the island. Located on the third floor of a building with an elevator, the entrance opens up onto the bright living area, enriched with a marble floor and furnished with a large corner sofa, an ottoman, a TV and a dining table. The highlight of the living room is the balcony overlooking Cala Rossa beach. On the right there is the independent kitchen, equipped with all amenities, among which the dishwasher, the oven and the coffee machine. The sleeping area consists of three welcoming bedrooms, two of which have a queen bed and one has a single bed. The master bedroom features a French window with seaview and an ensuite bathroom with shower. Another bathroom with shower and a laundry complete the apartment. \*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy. For relaxation and sea lovers, Eastern Sicily and the surroundings of Siracusa are the perfect choice. Leaving the ancient Greek city and going toward the south, the best equipped beaches worth of a visit are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella and Fontane Bianche, whose name is due to the natural sweet spring water and to the unique white sand. Then, In the island of Ortigia there are some equipped solariums (Zefiro and Nettuno), as well as the free beach of Cala Rossa. Going further south, about 30 km far away from Siracusa, there are amazing and wild beaches: Calamosche, Vendicari with its Wildlife Park and the precious San Lorenzo. For those looking for cultural and historical sites, it is recommended to visit Teatro Greco and its archeological site with the famous Orecchio di Dionisio (a limestone cave shaped as a human ear), the Museum Paolo Orsi, then the Latomie dei Cappuccini, and finally the island of Ortigia with its natural and historic eye-catching landscapes. Finally, our guests should visit the town of Noto, the seafront of Tonnara di Avola and the fisherman village of Marzamemi. Sicily is beautiful, a wild land with a millennial history impossible to forget at first glance, that will take a special space in your heart. Catania Fontanarossa airport is an hour drive from the apartment. The views are phenomenal and you feel almost like you are on a boat looking out over the water. It is spacious and comfortable for 2 couples, even though the bathroom for the second bedroom is down the hall. We liked being on the south end of the island where it is quieter. The island is small enough that it was easy walking to everywhere. The listing is accurate and the photos show what it looks like well. The only thing unpleasant surprise was the lack of water pressure. There was very little water pressure, making showers difficult. We were very happy with this apartment. It is spacious and has amazing views. There is privacy and it is quiet for the most part. We loved being in the apartment. Ortigia is really interesting with many good restaurants and shops. It is a walking city which is ideal for us. Driving to the apartment is an adventure. Parking is a challenge. There isn't a good explanation of the parking situation until you meet someone at the aprtment for checkin in. Overall a teriffic place to stay. ##### Douglas T.
