What we most liked about our stay at Hotel Posta is that it met our expectations, which were based on previous reviews and information provided by the hotel. Our room was on the ground floor and overlooked a side street. There was some noise fromthe street, but nothing too intrusive. As expected, our bathroom was small but contained nice toiletries, hairdryer and good towels. Our bedroom was comfortable, with adequate light by which to read. The breakfast terrace was attractive and the cook/server was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, especially the daily homemade cakes. We loved the location of the hotel - just over the bridge onto Ortigia. We got off the bus at the central bus point and literally walked straight down Via Umberto I, turning left into Via Trieste. The hotel is close to the sea, the fish market, the fruit and veg market and has excellent restaurants close by. Importantly, reception is staffed when one needs it, and there is plenty of tourist information. One can walk Ortigia from here. Should I return to Ortigia I will stay here again.
