### ARTEMIDE HOUSE - Superior Apartment Ortigia Wifi

Artemide House is a 50sqm apartment recently renovated, located on the first floor of an ancient building in a very characteristic and quiet alley in the heart of Ortigia.   
The apartment located in the heart of Ortigia, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005 and included in the World Heritage List, is only 150 meters from the suggestive Cathedral.  
  
Many of the island's attractions are a stone's throw from the house: a short walk through one of the typical alleys of Ortigia will take you to Piazza del Duomo, with its unique Cathedral built on the ruins of a Greek temple (5th century BC).  
Less than 300 meters away, you will find one of the landmarks of Syracuse: the "Fountain of Arethusa", a source of fresh water - populated by ducks and papyrus plants - whose origin is rooted in Greek mythology.  
  
The Bellomo Museum, the typical and picturesque fish market in Via Trento and the "Castello Maniace", a fortress located at the end of the island, are within walking distance.  
  
Our apartment offers an entrance to a very bright and refined living room kitchen, complete with all the accessories to offer you a unique and unforgettable stay.  
From the kitchen you have access to the sleeping area where you will find a comfortable double bed with abat-jour, LCD TV and comfortable electrical outlets near the bed.  
The bathroom is very bright and equipped with a very spacious shower cubicle, the house is equipped with all the necessary accessories for your best stay and Lcd Tv, Free Wifi Internet Connection, Coffee Machine and the Comfortable Air Conditioner and Heating are just some of the many comforts of the apartment.  
  
If you like sunbathing, just a few steps away you will find the beautiful Cala Rossa beach, or near the house you can reach a beautiful solarium recently opened, free of charge, on the wonderful sea of Ortigia.  
  
Food lovers will be spoiled for choice among the many restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream parlors and pastry shops that offer typical and gastronomic products of Sicilian cuisine.  
  
The island of Ortigia is the beating heart of the whole city: just a square kilometer and yet an enchanting treasure trove of treasures and natural beauty ready to amaze you.  
Temples, castles, ancient aristocratic houses and baroque churches determine the charm of the small island dedicated to Artemis. It is pleasant to get lost in its alleys, in search of rare atmospheres lost elsewhere and which are perceived even more alive here than ever.  
Ortigia strikes its human dimension, its tranquility and in its small but intoxicating market resides its soul. Between fruit and vegetable stalls, cheese shops, typical products and fish stalls, in perfect harmony, all the colors, flavors and aromas of this enchanting land can be enjoyed in the evening in the typical local trattorias or in its refined restaurants.  
From the Aretusa terrace, especially at sunset, the whole city is dominated: from the ruins of the Greek fortress of Eurialo, to Etna, stopping to gaze at the elegant Federician fortress of Castello Maniace, the southern tip of Ortigia that seems to caress the blue waves of the sea.  
The undergrounds of Ortigia meander telling the secrets of its people and jealously guard other treasures: the "Jewish Bath" in the heart of medieval Giudecca, and the Hypogeum of Piazza Duomo, theater of the local chronicles of the Second World War.  
The gaze is also lost in the wavy Plemmirio, today a protected marine area, an ideal destination for naturalistic excursions by sea and land, and which is located close to the seaside areas of Syracuse, Arenella, Fontane Bianche, Ognina and Terrauzza.  
A few kilometers from the city another magical place: the "Fonte Ciane", testimony of the love between the beautiful nymph and Anapo.  
Here we recommend the ascent of the river by boat, among unique specimens of Papyrus to the source.  
Papyrus in Syracuse still retains its memory, not only in its small museum but above all in quality craftsmanship which, faithfully following the recipe of the ancient Egyptians, reproduces the beauties of the city aretusea in watercolors on original papyrus paper.  
Syracuse is all this and much more: a continuous discovery, between warm and welcoming people.

The mattress was poor and no kitchen knife. Requested a kitchen knife and received two steak knives. The kitchen coffee machine didn’t work well and we felt the need to reclean the kitchen before use. Great location \* otherwise Just obtain a better mattress - pretty important when travelling

If you are looking for something close to the market and at the same time practically on the main pedestrian area, stop here. The host is extremely helpful and checkin/out super easy and quick. Apartment would need a bit of TLC but everything is working We will be back !
