"lovely staff, very welcoming and friendly and attentive. While I have a deep appreciation of the significant history of the building, it is very run down and the hotel as a whole could do with an upgrade and modernisation."

"Really enjoyed our 3 night stay - wish we could have stayed longer. Friendly welcoming staff and room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic shower! Breakfast had a great selection to set you up for the day and we really enjoyed our meals in the evening. Even managed to spot the otters on the shore. Would definitely return."
