This is a convenient hotel, close to Sydney's Central Station, however the road noise is very bad and goes all night.
We asked for a room at the back when checking in and were told we had a corner room which "shouldn't be too bad"!!
Unfortunately I don't think the receptionist has spent any time in the rooms.
Overall it's a great hotel and very well located. The design has been carefully thought out and although the rooms are not massive, they do feel spacious owing to high ceilings and clever bathroom design. The hotel is still getting up and running and there was a bit of a hiccup with the check in and check out, but what was impressive was how quickly it was solved. They also very kindly allowed a late check out. It would have been good to have booked ahead for one of their two new restaurants with chefs from Noma and Momofuku Seiōbo - Silvereye and Automata.
The apartment was great, it's just a 5mins walk from redfern train station. It's a nice cosy apartment. The staff was friendly and helpful, we had a minor problem with our room but they manage to fixed it and it was all good. The location was good as there was a woolies nearby at Central Park mall.
Sydney South central location, luxury studio and one bedroom, serviced and furnished apartments. Accommodation suitable for …More
Spacious, clean, fresh. Complimentary Nespresso machine & coffee pods was very much appreciated, together with the free mineral water. However, looking at the carpet in the common areas and corridors, I do wonder if the standard or regular rooms were as nice as the Executive rooms.
I visited Sydney for around 10 days, and we chose the hotel because of its location and reasonable prices.
We were not disappointed. The hotel is a little quirky perhaps but the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, with a nice bathroom. You need a card key to get in and out of the room and the building, and there is a nearby hotel parking facility if you have a car at $20 per day - which is cheap by Sydney standards.
The location is great for Central Station, George St, Paddy's Markets, Chinatown and Darling Harbour - all walking distance away. It is a very student area, pretty much in the UTS campus, so there are plenty of cheap and cheerful eateries around as well.
I would certainly use the hotel again, and recommend it.
Hotel is very central. Many buses ply the road in front of the hotel. It is within walking distance to places of interest. The bus stop for the free city shuttle is just downstairs. There are many dining options nearby
when o got there i was charged an extra 70.00 because security signe me in then i was charged 200 for a deposit that was to be refunded and still hasnt been with all the construction my room got flooded when it rained we moved rooms but it was at 1am it took about an hour to find security the staff was nice but the hotel needs a lot of work
Well located hotel in Chinatown. Close to most sights and plenty of food and supermarkets close by. Love the location. The rooms are clean and functional. It's an old building renovated on the inside, but you can still see the age (windows, walls with bits obviously disconnected and painted over). One problem I did have was noise. It's on a busy corner, and there is a lot of street noise. The old windows don't keep the noiseout. If you like a quiet sleep, this is not for you. Otherwise, for the money and location it's good.
This bustling center is the pulse of this cosmopolitan city. George Street serves as Sydney's principal street, and is a hive of shopping arcades and restaurants. Visit the astounding Sydney Opera House, which boasts unmatched views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Be sure to check out the vibrant Circular Quay, which is home to buskers, a variety of restaurants, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
