"A week earlier we stayed at their location on Pitt Street. I prefer Pitt Street. The neighbourhood for the Kent Street apart-hotel wasn’t great. Sydney is very clean almost everywhere you go, but this neighbourhood was dirty. That isn’t the hotels fault but it taints your view of the place. Staff were fine and friendly. The room was okay. No instructions on the dryer. Had to call front desk to have someone show me how to use it. Asked for a blanket 2x before it arrived. The location of the AC above the bed is a bad design. Had to ask again for someone to come up to prevent the cold air from being directed downwards at us. And finally…. The shower it’s poorly designed, water spills out onto the bathroom floor easily. They have mother location around the corner World centre .. but it’s in the same neighborhood. I would avoid these two places. Pitt street was quiet, clean area… nice accommodations and nice staff. "

"We came in from out of the rain and like a sunshine rainbow the woman behind the desk hooked us up with a beautiful room and a beautiful view on the top floor. We felt special the moment we arrived st the property when we were greets in the rain and they helped us pull our luggage in. Great service the indoor pool and hot tub/sauna was especially helpful after a day spent at Bondi or shopping at the very near Queen Victoria Shopping center. Great location and great service. Definitely recommend Meriton Suites Sussex Road, Sydney. We used public transport without issue and had no problem getting around. Easy walk to Darling Harbor and the activities at the pier."

"I experienced a concerning electrical issue in my room that I reported to staff immediately. There was a loud crackling sound coming from the outlet area, which made me worried about a potential electrical hazard or fire risk. I informed the front desk right away and was told the issue would be taken care of. However, when I returned several hours later, nothing had been addressed and the problem was still occurring. After raising the concern again with the late-night manager and explaining how serious it seemed, an electrician was finally called. In the meantime, fans were brought to the room as a temporary solution, but they weren’t helpful since the outlets themselves were not working. At one point the manager attempted to troubleshoot the outlet herself using a metal utensil, which was concerning given the situation. I actually had to stop her because it could have been dangerous. The issue was eventually fixed, but the delay in addressing what seemed like a serious electrical problem made the experience stressful and left me feeling unsafe in the room. I was very close to checking out and finding another hotel because of it. I was also disappointed with the bathroom setup, as the shower design causes the entire bathroom floor to get wet whenever it’s used. The location is great, but unfortunately the way this situation was handled really impacted my stay. I hope management takes safety concerns like this more seriously in the future and follows up appropriately."

"The location was good - near enough to Town Hall station and to the many Darling Harbour restaurants, ferries and other tourist amenities. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The room was well-equipped and comfortable. The view from the windows wasn't great, but that's the price you may pay for a hotel located in a big city. I woyuld definitely consider the Park Royal for any future stays in Sydney."
