I was in room 14, which was just right for my overnight stay. The pub and food is excellent and well priced. Just one niggle - the toilet seat was loose in my room, and a shame as not a big job to fix.
A food pub, with rooms.
Food and drink excellent, first class staff and service, from the bar and reception.
Rooms had a large double bed and a desk, in the older style.
Bathroom recently refurbished, with a first class shower.
More than happy and would stay again.
Plenty of parking.
Modernish guest house style block attached to a large pub. Staff were very good and helpful throughout. My room was well equipped and had plenty of room. It was also quiet and very clean. The restaurant does breakfast and main meals - these start at 10am. A regular bus service goes past outside and that takes you into town in around 1/4 of an hour.
A good budget place to stay in Swindon.
A nice pub but not a great place to stay when it's hot. No AC, which is fair enough for an old pub, but no fan in the room and, despite facing west, nobody had thought to close the curtains so the room was in full sun all afternoon and impossible to cool down. Opening the window just let in the noise from the road.
Room amenities were limited, no soap or shower products provided

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room looked tired and the toilet seat was broken. The most bazaar thing was at 3:30 am one night, when another guest was able to use his key to open our room door. Not happy and would not stay there again
