Limited staff better food choices at the restaurant More rustic food to suit the resort area and views Bit more of the Argentinan influence would help as well !! The area is spectacular!!!! Building noise near our suite was loud !! Views of new buildings wasn't included in the advertising!!! Much nicer to see the ocean for the price

Magnificent property that lived up to its on line photos. Wonderful staff and the views from the old homestead were absolutely beautiful. Our cottage overlooking the bay was great. Will definitely stay again.

Piermont Retreat is gorgeous! The grounds are very well maintained, there are bikes, a swimming pool, tennis courts & kayaks. We were a little disappointed as the bath robes in our room were dirty. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Piermont retreat is a beautiful property conveniently situated about 7 minutes from Swansea town. It is a beautifully kept property with breathtaking views. Staff are incredibly lovely and very helpful and the food and wine at the Homestead restaurant was amazing. Highly recommend hiring a car so that you are able to travel around to other areas like Freycinet and Bicheno. Highly recommend, would definitely go back!

Piermont Retreat could only be described as-wholesome. The one place that had it all. Our stay will forever be one of the most memorable moments. The property is located on a parcel of real estate that one could only dream of. Picturesque views that you opened your eyes to every morning. A restaurant that served the finest meals cooked with the best local Tasmanian produce. The menu changes daily- something to boast about. Finally, the welcoming atmosphere by the staff makes it special.

Our visit to Piermont was short but memorable. The weather turned quite nasty as we arrived, but when we settled into our spa suite it was very warm and comfortable for us. The large bathroom and bed were beautifully presented. Dinner was a gastronomic adventure; Piermont careful to cater to my lactose intolerance without affecting the varied tastes of each course. Our waiter Matt was attentive and friendly. The food and wine were all excellent, the Piermont selections were predominantly focussing on Tasmanian produce, many of which we were trying for the first time. Breakfast the following morning was also served by attentive, friendly staff. We could not fault the accommodation, the beautiful setting and the people who work there.

Piermont is in a very small coastal town with only one cafe and pizza bar that both close at 7pm. The direct road from hobart is closed for repair, so the driving time to Piermont from hobart is four hours. The Piermont restaurant also has limited capacity and cannot host all in-house guest.the restaurant also does not do takeaway. The local shop closed at 7pm. I would not recommend this property unless you are prepared to not rely on the properties hospitality services. Hotels located in Coles Bar are better equipped for travelers for food. You will also need to bring your own breakfast as the restaurant also has limited availability so you cannot rely on being supplied breakfast. The location and presentation of this property is superior, the flexibility of food services is exceptionally poor. If driving to this property from hobart , especially of a night, safely add an additional 4 hours of drive time to your trip.

Thank-you for your review. Please note Piermont is not a small town. It is a private property. We have no control over the road closures or other services in the actual small coastal town of Swansea. The road closure adds about 40 minutes extra to your drive, should be no more than 3 hours. Breakfast is available to all guests and is a la carte, so you can absolutely rely on breakfast. Regarding our set menu for dinner, please know this is a very different experience from taverns and other a la carte menus. We do not offer that kind of food or service, it is something special. Your booking was last minute and the restaurant is very popular and books out quickly and in advance. I'm sorry you missed out. You asked for dinner at 9pm also which we don't accommodate due to our set menu and very small dedicated team. This review is helpful, for future guests, please be aware of the remote area you are travelling to and be prepared. Dinner bookings are essential.
