The area was very good with a few restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel ambiance was very good, the staff spoke & understood reasonable amount of English and were courteous. The rooms were neat & clean. The two minor irritants were: Breakfast was expensive - almost to the level of rates charged in Hotels in downtown Shanghai and the room deposit was RMB 500/person/night. I will say for the small additional cost, this is a far greater stay. The breakfest was fantastic and covered western to Chinese and beyond. The bar was great, and the executive lounge was worth it with free drinks (including serve yourself whiskey, gin, vodka, etc) at happy hour and a great spread of snacks. Note you can get breakfest here as well.
