The food in the restaurant was fabulous & very undersold by slightly dated looking menus. Once it arrived to the table, the presentation & taste of the food was 10/10. "Right, what really makes a place is how they react to things being a bit off. Firstly thumbs up for the room having a proper iron and full size ironing board, but some one ahead of me had made the iron rather manky, you know too hot for the fabric, or not having enough water in to steam iron properly. The hotel did not have any iron cleaner, but initially gave me a clean pillow case to put between the iron and my clothes, ( a good tip if you have linen iron cotton pillowcases), and then within 5 minutes were at the door with a brand new replacement iron. Top marks, remember this is an old building so it creaks a bit and the plumbing occasionally wheeze, but the showers are good, the rooms clean and the bed was comfy. Well done team."

"We had a lovely stay here, it is very much a hotel that does not feel modern, but is sort of refreshing in that way. A/C seems to be very uncommon in hotels in this area, but of the places we stayed in Northern Scotland this had absolutely the best/strongest fan. The room was large and comfortable, although the mattress might ultimately feel a bit thin if you are on the heavier side. The best thing about this hotel, in my opinion, is the proximity to the Inverness ScotRail station, upon which the hotel sits directly next to. It makes it a very easy jumping off point for any number of day trips, and is of course also centrally located to Inverness' city-center as well."
