"I had a lovely stay here with my friend while we were visiting the area due to work commitments. Check in instructions were sent in a timely manner and easy to follow. The room were spotlessly clean and the little touches were wonderful, hot drink facilities included and a bottle of water in the fridge, we were shocked to find dressing gowns in the wardrobe it was a lovely surprise. The bathroom is literally across the landing and again what lovely facilities, nice and clean it has everything you could need, towels soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. We will for sure visit again! Thank you so so much for such a wonderfully pleasant stay! I can’t wait to return :) "

"We had a restful night stay in a good-sized twin room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Room had the usual facilities, tea/coffee, water was available from a water cooler and a hairdryer. Good selection at breakfast, can recommend the bacon and sausages. Staff were informative and accommodated a special request. We would return, next time we are in the area."

"Great location with it being so close to the A1. Free parking, great value and bed very comfy means I’ll definitely be returning. Showing its age in some of the decor but it would only put off the fussiest of guests. "

"Was Avery pleasant and up to date old hotel. Staff were most helpful. Parking was great. Breakfast was just right. Dinner was good. Pub was crowded when we arrived but when we returned from our evening walk around the cathedral it had cleared out and we had a very pleasant evening "

"Lots of parking close to reception. Check in was efficient. The bedroom was large, clean and well equipped, with two double beds. The bathroom had plenty of room too. Access to the leisure centre was included. Large pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. All were a decent size. Lots of choice for breakfast with helpful staff. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. "
