"Fantastic hotel and pub, very cosy and set in a fab location. The room we stayed in was delightful, very large with great amenities. Food was very tasty and the breakfast was plentiful and hot with a good variety of continental and hot breakfast items to choose from (full English including veggie option). Great to have onsite parking too. Will definitely be back thanks!"

Very comfortable, all facilities good. Close to city centre. Room small (attic room) but that's what I paid for. Staff courteous and chatty and gave good advice. Not keen on the small TV in room but views more than made up for it. Tea, Coffee, biscuits, fresh milk, mini bar with local produce (mostly ciders), all very good. Breakfast was excellent with a highly varied and quality choice. En-suite clean, everything worked, plenty of goodies

The best area to stay in Stoke Edith is directly within the Stoke Edith Estate itself, as it offers the most exclusive and convenient experience for visitors to this specific location.
The Stoke Edith Estate is a private, historic estate. Visitors typically stay in accommodation directly on the grounds, which often includes beautifully restored cottages or rooms within the main house (if available for guests). This provides direct access to the estate's extensive grounds, including formal gardens, parkland, and walking trails that showcase the English countryside. The estate is located a few miles east of Hereford, providing a tranquil escape while still being accessible.
Couples looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway will find staying on the estate perfect. The secluded nature of the grounds, often featuring private gardens or terraces, allows for quiet relaxation. You can enjoy strolls through the manicured gardens, perhaps enjoying a picnic amidst the historic setting, or simply unwinding in a comfortable, well-appointed cottage.
For those seeking a luxurious and unique retreat, the estate offers an unparalleled experience. The high-quality accommodation, often with bespoke furnishings and attentive service, caters to guests who appreciate comfort and exclusivity.
When is the best time to go to Stoke Edith?
The best time to visit Stoke Edith is generally between late April and early October, when the weather is mildest and the surrounding countryside is at its most appealing.
For those who enjoy outdoor activities and exploring the local area, the months of May, June, and September are particularly pleasant. You'll find comfortable temperatures for walking and cycling, and the gardens and estates around Stoke Edith, like the nearby Hellens Manor, are often in full bloom or showcasing their autumn colours. This period also avoids the peak school holiday crowds of July and August, offering a more tranquil experience.
If you're planning a trip around specific events or looking for the warmest weather, July and August are good choices. While these months see more visitors, they also offer the longest daylight hours and the best chance for warm, sunny days, ideal for enjoying the local pubs with outdoor seating or picnicking in the Herefordshire countryside.
