The room was compact but very nice. The hotel is well located - away from touristy areas but in an area with many good restaurants. The hotel itself includes a wee acquainted breakfast in the room fee - and across the street is a sister hotel with a bar. The overall feel and vibe is fabulous. Far exceeded my expectations.

Really comfy bed, great distance from the city centre and very affordable. Staff were friendly and our stay included a free breakfast every morning. Some noise could be heard from street below and from other rooms.

Great staff! Nice central clean basic room
The staff was super friendly, helpful, accommodating and fantastic. Excellent for the price. Room is a bit small and basic/no frills but perfect for my needs. Nice bathrooms with good shower and clean soft towels, clean sheets and soft comfortable bed. Central location, easy, convenient, clean, good breakfast, was able to get parking. Comfortable overall. Good number of plug outlets and watched tv. Very happy with my stay.

Centrally located, within east walking distance of everything, with very good public transport also. Small rooms, but very well run, with excellent service and lots of character and extremely good value for money.

Hotel of the Second Mile
If I'm ever back in Stockholm I would stay here. Love the people. They are very helpful and expect to go the second mile for their patrons. The hotel is clean and pleasant, and my room was comfortable and convenient. The breakfast has plenty of delicious choices for anyone with enough hours to serve yourself. They even produced decaf coffee for me. They are within walking distance of most places you might want to go, or at least, they were for me.

I had a room at the front of the hotel. It was large (I'm sure there are smaller rooms but this one, first floor, really good), two twin beds, shower room, desk, chairs and side tables. Clean and quiet - you can hear the jazz club on a Thursday evening and people walking past occasionally, but it nothing much and I slept like a log. Good continental breakfast with some cooked stuff also, fruit, pastries, lots of coffee. All good. It was an excellent base for exploring the city - the walk to the Medieval Museum near the harbour front, say, took me about 25 mins and I'm not a fast walker. Everyone who I met working there was friendly and wanted to make sure everything was okay. In the area there are lots of cafes and a couple of supermarkets, and a metro station just nearby, and interesting shops in the back lanes near the hotel that do painting restoration and sewing, second hand bookshops and things like that - really interesting. I wanted somewhere just like this as a comfortable place to stay and would be totally happy to go again.

Good price and location
A good place to stay for the price as it is cheaper than a lot of hotels in Stockholm. Location is very good, very close to the metro station and around a 20-30 minute walk to Gamla Stan. The hotel was very clean and we were able to check in with the hotel opposite (same company) as we didn’t arrive into Stockholm till after midnight. The room looked a bit unfinished in terms of decoration, but overall was a clean and comfy place to stay. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely consider staying here again!

This place is a "gem".
Truly a "find"! They were ready to help in every way. Rooms are large and very well appointed. Sister hotel across the street has a great bar. Breakfast is incredible. Location in city but quiet street. Very very nice! Would for sure stay there again.

A good stay - stand out were the hospitable front desk at Hotel Hellesten across the street who helped me check in on day 1. The breakfast bar was good too.

Very helpful staff. My train was delayed in arriving as lightning had struck a bridge but the person I phoned was extremely helpful and reassuring, explaining how to check-in if arriving after 10pm. The breakfast was very good with the possibility to sit outside. The location is not a problem as Stockholm is very walkable - there is also a metro station around the corner. There are good restaurants nearby, some really good Indian restaurants. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and there are tea and coffee making facilities in the reception area.

Too soft beds. No rral double bed, only to singles standing next to each other, sliding appart most of the time. Vsxed floors that was so slippery that i almost hurt my self falling. Really good breakfast though

This is the most over priced hotel for what it is . There are no staff around at all . The wifi doesn’t work . The rooms are small and concrete.

Good value for money, good breakfast, and not very far from city center. The rooms were clean and quiet. On the minus side, the mattress was too soft. It would also be helpful to have a small fridge in the room.

Excellent hotel in central Stockholm
The Rex Hotel was centrally located and the staff was wonderful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and was very good. The metro was 2 blocks away which made it easy to get around. We would highly recommend the Rex Hotel when in Stockholm.

We loved the location, the breakfast was wonderful (I do wish they had nutella), my husband loved the pickled herring. The room was nice and cozy. Since we stayed for 6 nights, I wish we would have had drawers to put our clothes. The staff was super friendly and helpful! We highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again!

Nice hotel good location breakfast there was a good choice the hotel across the road is the same owner so we had to check in there and out as i found the desk at the Rex was not always staffed

Nice quite rooms. , bathrooms and rooms extremely little but the bed was very comfty. Breakfast could be better, no much variety and need to go early otherwise you will be out of food and disnt see ew badges coming out. Next to subway station and main streets. If you check in late and the door is closed make sure you go across the street hotel heistein and check in with them. Nice heated bathroom tiles for the cold winter. Will stay here again. YS

Staff are cheerful and very helpful. Close to the metro - 2 min. walk. Near buy supermarkets. It is an ok hotel. The beds squeak at the slightest move. Room ceiling is very low and dangerous if you are tall and stay in the last floor. More attention is needed in the cleanliness of the breakfast room. Breakfast room is very small for the amount of the rooms it serves.

Small but nice hotel
Basically, you get what you pay for. The room size is slightly bigger than a closet in my house. The bathroom sink is the smallest I've ever seen. Meantime, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and always is ready to help you. They serve a very good buffet breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to stay for some time in Stockholm to see famous places.

Excellent little hotel. Very good breakfasts and rooms with ample space. The only issue was the noise in the room fronting the streets. Not a lot of traffic but very early morning trash collection and noisy cars/motorbikes (which appeals to some Swedes) meant disturbed sleep. Overall very good value.
