We stayed here in order to attend a wedding nearby . The photos do not do justice to the location- it is stunning. We had to change our reservation ( our fault) so ended up in the cheapest room only at a price a bit less than the suite we had booked 9 months earlier. So we got a car park view , not a Loch view. Having said that, our room
Was very quirky , up in the attic in the old house , and lots of space.
We paid a lot to stay here , but found details lacking . The iron - much needed for a wedding - was a cheap model . And the coffee at breakfast seemed to be a mix of tea and coffee granules . Breakfast was not great value for money. The pool, spa and sauna could have been warmer.
So , whilst our room and location and views were stunning, we felt the whole stay was a little over priced . On the surface the hotel looks and feels luxurious. But scratch under that surface, and details are sadly lacking for a hotel that charges a lot.
