"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"This is a lovely hotel! Our room was super clean and tidy. I loved the large bathroom. The beds were comfy and I appreciated the fan for sleeping at night. We did not dine here but there is a Starbucks attached. Another bonus was that the train station was right across the street. I would definitely stay here again.
