"Lovely stay for one night; cozy and accommodating."

"An eccentric small hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. There is no aircon so some of the rooms can be difficult to keep cool in sunny weather. The breakfast is menu based rather than a buffet and is very good although I would reccomend giving the cafetiere coffee a miss and going for something from the esspresso machine which is much better. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent although, like so many places there was over loud and completely un neccessary music. Brockley Hall is an ideal base for a few days exploring the area or walking sections of the Cleveland Way or coastal path."

"I am a regular at the Captain Cook Inn. It has an unique ambience which refects Staithes village itself. Bed extremely comfortable but the duvet was a higher tog than the heatwave needed."

"Great place to stay. Rooms are very clean, shower is hot, staff are great, food in the bar and breakfast is very good. This is how a traditional UK hotel should be run !"
