Lovely Thames side hotel, with loads of character.

Very relaxed and friendly environment.

Just back from a few days staying at the De Vere, Sandford on Thames. Excellent hotel, comfy deluxe double, delicious breakfast with great choice of food. Helpful staff on reception suggested taking the bus, from just outside the hotel, in to Oxford. 15 mins and we were in the heart of the city. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely hotel. Good sized room and a fantastic breakfast. We also used the leisure facilities and they were very nice. Would stay again 😊

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. The heating system was not working properly, our room was cold the entire time we stayed there. We were given a fanheater for our room but it was not really ideal given the low temperatures we had during the weekend. I had a treatment booked at the spa, again staff were using a fanheater to warm the room as it was really cold. I expected a variety of food items for breakfast but this wasn't the case, the breakfast range was very limited-no fresh fruits...

Very nice hotel in a great location.

Our stay at the Mercure was overall very positive. We travelled from north devon to visit a family member at the Churchill hospital. We arrived at 1pm on Sunday and didnt expect to check in, but asked in the bar if we could have a quick sandwich before driving to the hospital. we were told that we could only have a roast dinner or chips. When asked, staff were told by chef that this was not possible. This was not a good first impression. Apart from this everything was excellent and all staff...

Very helpful staff

The Malmaison oxford is so far one of our best stays we have had in the uk! The hotel is a stunning renovation from a prison to a hotel that my now fiance just loved. The interior is stunning and classy with such helpful staff that took our car and parked it when we arrived, making us feel like Royalty. The Junior suite was breath taking with so much space, large bed, large tv, comfy and stylish seating and a large double shower to top it off. although we didn't eat in the hotel we did visit...

Beautiful building right in the centre of town with quite a bit of parking . Big comfortable room. Everything was high quality. Only problem was the heat in the room was 28/29 when i came back at midnight and I couldn't operate the thermostat to make a difference.....

Very happy with everything

We recently returned and stayed in a comfy double room last weekend. Very well maintained hotel, room and facilities. The room was spotless. Great choice of indoor and outdoor seating and restaurant and bar services. We were satisfied with the gym. We didn’t use the sauna and steam rooms this time. Not the quietest of venues during event nights.

Great property just be aware the £10 parking charge on top pf your rate

Amazing little hotel in a back street, very clean and comfortable, we arrived early to drop our bags of as we had a tour later but our room was already available so they let us use the room straight away. Hardly any noise from other guests although there was a busy pub opposite the noise was minimal. Staff very polite, 20 minute walk to Oxford City Centre. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.

Wonderful greeting upon a very late arrival. Rooms are wonderful. Electric hookup very convenient.

Anniversary weekend. Very nice hotel with character and good service - just what we were looking for. The room was super, the hotel serve fantastic afternoon tea and we loved the quiet library and the little sun-trap on the library terrace. Would have liked fluffy bathrobes, but can't think of anything else to improve. Be warned: - The bed was hard (which we like/prefer) but large and comfortable. Really lovely hotel in 20min walking distance or £6 cab (Oct 2024) from centre of Oxford. Very welcoming, beautiful and clean room, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and extra touches like a fridge with some free juices and sodas, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits and also toiletries bags for each of us. Highly recommend.
