"On arrival staff were brilliant, there was four of us booked in and they took time to show us to our rooms which was lovely The Gym was so well equipped the hotel pictures absolutely do not do it justice, fully equipped to suit the most seasoned daily gym goer, having a gym available whilst I’m away is a bonus for me and this was perfect in every way The restaurant in the evening was amazing lots of room between tables and food excellent with a wide choice to suit everyone Room comfortable and well presented And the breakfast in the morning was a 10/10 Lastly check out quick and simple Will definitely stay here again personally and through work"

"Village hotel is a beautiful modern place on the Thames river bank were you can take a boat trip from outside garden.There's plenty of car park spaces. The room was clean with hairdryer iron and ironing board coffee machine with coffee provided soap towels and 50 inch TV .The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good plenty of choices for breakfast and other meals . There is gym swimming pool and hot tub also 7 Large TV Screens in the bar Iwould definitely recommend this place"

"A wonderful stay with exceptional service! We had a fantastic stay at The Great House in Sonning and would happily return! When we first arrived, the TV in our room wasn’t working. We mentioned it to reception, and they immediately offered us two alternative rooms, which we were able to go and look at before deciding. The whole situation was handled so quickly and efficiently, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The bathroom in the room we moved to was slightly smaller, but that really wasn’t an issue. The room itself was lovely, with an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows. It was also great to have heating available if needed, as well as a fan for warmer weather. We particularly loved the little touches, such as the selection of snacks and drinks in the minibar, especially the fact that the snacks were from British brands. It’s those thoughtful details that make a difference. We had dinner at the restaurant in the evening and breakfast the following morning, and both were excellent. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. But what really makes this hotel stand out is the people. Every member of staff we encountered was genuinely friendly, welcoming and attentive. You really get the feeling that they care about their guests and want everyone to have a wonderful experience. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend The Great House. We can’t wait to come back!"

"Clean, comfortable and quiet! Everything I needed. The shower head was a bit big for the shower but was easily navigated. The most challenging part was the lack of parking or a drop off area to unload/load bags. Overall, a very positive experience and excellent location."
