Come relax & play on the white sand beaches of Treasure Island in Pinellas County. Family friendly Sunshine Beach on Treasure Island is located south of Clearwater Beach, Redington and Madeira Beach, and just north of St. Pete Beach / Pass-a-Grille. Enjoy beautiful sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico, wonderful restaurants and endless activities - many within walking distance or accessible via the local trolley (trolley stop less than 100 feet away). Also available is “free beach ride”, a local service providing rides for tips. Restaurants range from beach casual to seaside elegance. Boat rentals, paddle board and kayak rentals, put-put golf, museums, parasailing, arcade (for that rare rainy day) charter fishing, bike rentals and the Treasure Island Beach Trail are just a few of the nearby activities. The Tampa Bay Rays game is only a 10-15 minute drive in downtown St. Petersburg. Located on the west side (beach side) of Gulf Boulevard, so no busy streets to cross to get to the beach (don't settle for the east side of Gulf Blvd.)! Even with the cooler than normal temperatures during our stay, primarily due to the location, we were able to still enjoy beach walks in sweatshirts and pants and flip flops! The location is close to a vast number of restaurants, bars and places to shop. If you like live music with a cocktail or two, check out Bamboo Beach Bar at the north end of John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk, just a few minute’s walk from the cottage.Stacie was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We were even able to extend it two more nights in order to take advantage of two last sunny and warm days before we had to head back home to the Tundra of Minnesota. Chairs, parasols, coolers and everything you need on the beach are stored outside in a shed. The shower outside is also very nice, you don't bring sand in with you. Also outside, the washing machine and dryer are housed in another shed. There is a parking space available in front of the house where two cars can park. Stacy, the host, is very nice. She was always available and gave us good tips. Unfortunately, Hurricane Helene intervened and we had to leave early. We will definitely come back when we travel to the USA again. Very convenient location. There are a few things that would have helped us make a more informed decision had we known in advance. It is located right in an area hit pretty rough with hurricane damage, and all of the public access walks were destroyed, which made beach access a little tricky. Also, we were really bothered by the traffic noise. We live in a quiet neighborhood, and we are not used to such constant noise till about 1am.The bedroom is close to the road. Even with the earplugs provided it was killing my zen. Finally, the bathtub would not hold water, which was a bummer because it was a comfy old school tub. It was easy to get around the island and the walk to the beach was less than 2 minutes. Everything from the outdoor shower, beach chairs and toys, and amenities made it the perfect, no fuss stay for us. The kitchen had everything we needed and the floor plan was plenty roomy for us. By far one of the best places we’ve stayed in! Steps from the beach, clean, easy check in/check out, and literally had EVERYTHING we needed for our days at the beach! Stacie was a fabulous host and made everything so easy for us! We absolutely loved this adorable Florida cottage!! It has such a fun beach vibe! Excellent location, very short walk directly to the beach.
