"A great location for exploring downtown Sydney as well as further afield. All the main sights within walking distance or hop of the public transport which is only a short distance from the apartments. "Not happy to sign being about fire alarm about being charged worried about using shower as steam could activate the alarm"

"The rooms were large, very clean & well maintained, although the bathrooms could do with better ventilation (there was a sign in the bathroom saying you would be fined $2000 if the steam from your shower set off the smoke alarm - isn't this more a hotel problem, not guests?!). The foyer & restaurant - while very clean & well maintained - looks a little dull & dated. Staff were friendly & helpful. Great location in the city with plenty of restaurants & tourist spots / sights nearby."

"We stayed at Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour for one night to celebrate my son’s birthday, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. There was no warm welcome on arrival, and no complimentary birthday treat or cake for the celebration. The room did not feel clean—the carpet was dusty, the bathroom had mould and an unpleasant smell, and one of the face towels had what appeared to be a red stain on it. We were also surprised that there was no complimentary bottled water or basic toiletries provided. Overall, the cleanliness and service did not meet our expectations, and the stay was not as special as we had hoped for our son’s birthday celebration."
