"The check in agent was great. He gave me a room with a view without an upcharge or anything. Very easy and quick check in despite a busy lobby. The room was a very typical Manhattan room which was small. One thing to note in my room was the toilet was butt up against the sink. Someone may have a problem squeezing in to sit on the toilet. I'm slim , but even still it was a snug. Maybe it was just an issue with my room. The hotel housekeeper was fabulous. Very bubbly and helpful every day. The hotel is in a great location. The room was super clean and seemed well soundproofed. The lobby is loud and BUSY so not really a place to hang out. I felt safe coming and going at different hours of the day/night. No issues or concerns. I will definitely stay again solo, but if traveling with my wife I'll ask for a larger room only because the bathroom was a tad small for two. Again, maybe it was just my room."

"We stayed at The Lucerne for 6 nights with our teen boys. We had the queen suite room & it was perfect. The extra sitting room was perfect when we had down time & allowed us to spread out. The staff were always incredibly friendly. The location was also wonderful. Staying in the UWS allowed us to stay in the city but away from the business of midtown. The train was at the corner at the other end of the block. Central Park is 2 blocks away, as is the Museum of Natural History. We will definitely return to The Lucerne!"

"We had an amazing experience! We came into the city for one night to eat and explore and Art House was cozy, clean and wonderful!! It’s a little commute from the activities (Times Square) about 16-20 mins by taxi and roughly $15-$18 in cost but away from the chaos on a quieter side and with every penny!!"
