Had an amazing time staying at coconut coast villas. You get an amazing view, kitchen with appliances if you guy groceries, stove, refrigerator, tv and WiFi. Staff is excellent on communication. You also get free access to laundry which is wonderful. The villas are about 12 minutes out from downtown St. John which makes it really walkable if you want to go out and explore or get groceries. There are some steep parts of the walk to and from the villas but if you walk the right way, it shouldn’t be bad. Overall great property to stay at for a great price.

Great experience
Lovely spot with a breezy and shaded balcony. Perfectly equipped for a stay with just what you need in the kitchen and the coldest freezer (weirdly important here!) bring your walking shoes for the steep hill. Service and communication was absolutely perfect! Great place to be if you rent a car, but you also don’t need to!

The location was perfect. It was convenient to the stores. It was a 10 minute walk for groceries. The unit was clean and management was very helpful. I would highly recommend Coconut Coast Villas

Hosts for the property are very nice and helpful. They provide lots of good information. The unit we stayed in has a wonderful porch overlooking the water. Very fun watching the car ferry go back and forth along with sail boats, power boats, etc. It's about a 10 minute walk to restaurants and shopping. It's in a quiet residential area of town. We did not rent a car (we like to walk) and had no trouble getting anywhere in the Cruz Bay area including Solomon and Honeymoon beaches. We had lots of great meals - The Terrace restaurant was our favorite. Be sure you make reservations for dinner. The dishes in this unit do need a bit of a refresh but this is just a small thing. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Love this Hidden Gem on the Beach

Home away from home with a better view! It was helpful seeing the pictures other travelers posted but even better in person. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was amazing, coming back to cook dinner after exploring the beaches was much more enjoyable then hustling to get dressed up to find a restaurant, and the view of the sea right oustide the porch made it all worthwhile. Located close enough to visitor center, shopping, and grocery store was a bonus. When I return I cannot imagine staying anywhere else plus the hosts are very easy to work with. We had unexpected travel changes last minute that lucky for us meant arriving a day early and the hosts replied to our accommodation request promptly. The place is clean, had extra items I would not of thought to pack or buy downtown, and I could not have asked for a better place to stay for my 1st time in St. John. It did not feel like a 5 star resort and that's what I looved the most! It was like staying at a friends place with towel service! Plenty of parking. The beach on site is a bit rocky so I suggest bringing water shoes. Having laundry onsite was a bonus..for a longer stay & just crusing around the island I'd likely pack less next time! If you like to be off the beaten path & feel like your home or at a friend's house rather than in a hotel, this place is for you!

The property was wonderful. It is right on the water, very clean and the location is close to restaurants etc. the Villa had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Each bedroom had an en suite, which was very nice! The owners were communicative and super helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!

Clean and simple apartment style lodging, with great location (walkable to downtown cruz bay, parking on site, ocean view). Super friendly hosts who give you a tour when you arrive, nice community amenities like laundry, beach towels and chairs available to borrow, etc. Not a bougie resort kinda place, which was perfect for us. Would definitely stay again if we're on that side of the island.

Julie from the Coconut Coast Villas was amazing, she provided updates and communicated with us during the visit to make sure everything was going great. The room had everything we needed for the week, an amazing reference binder of everything you need to know about the island and they also provided all of your beach needs for you to use! The location is less than a 10 minute walk from the town center of Cruz Bay. When we come back to St John, we will stay here again, thank you!

Coconut Coast Villas was a lovely place to stay while visiting St. John. It is conveniently located close to Cruz Bay. The waterfront location made it ideal to ‘come home to’ every afternoon after exploring the island.

Great location, just a small trail and short walk over a hill and you are in town. Listening to the waves move the rocks on the beach everyday was a rhythmic melody. They provide free chairs, towels and cooler for beach, this is priceless, load into car and go!!!! They rent snorkel equipment at a fair price, have snack area and Laundry if you need it. They have a nice Little pool area to relax at in the morning or end of day. Location on flat ground and waterfront is an incredible advantage especially if you rent a car and want to park it next to the villa! We saw many other units on extremely steep slopes which may have had a view but had the stress of getting in and out of Mt Everest. Disadvantages- Walls in units are paper thin and if you are in a lower unit be prepared to hear the people above and to the side of you when ever they talk, laugh or move. This gets tiring especially late at when they have been drinking or if they have little kids who constantly run around☹️! Our unit had a broken ceiling fan which went unfixed for the week which was disappointing because you need a fan. AC worked fine and was good overnight but would have like leaving the door open to listen to the waves while we sleep. Roosters do make some noise in the AM but this didn’t happen everyday and it is just part of the Island life! Overall The hosts Julie and Dave run a good operation and make your time on the Island enjoyable and stress free which is the whole purpose of being on vacation!

Best stay on St. John
Coconut Coast Villas was a dream spot for my recent trip to St. John. Waterfront properties on the island are rare and the opportunity to stay right in the heart of Cruz Bay on the water was incredibly memorable, especially hearing the sound of the waves crashing at night. It’s everything you need and more with onsite laundry, beach chairs, an honor bar, clean towels for the beach daily, a pool, and a hot tub. The best part was, by far, the owners David and Julie. They were knowledgeable, attentive, and a perfect example of the type of kind and caring people that St. John (Love City) is know for. David gave me a ride into town when I had to catch the ferry and Julie answered my numerous questions over text throughout my stay. They immediately felt like friends. I could not be happier with my experience and i am already booking a future date at Coconut Coast Villas because it felt so much like home.

If u love roosters in the morning then this is perfect.joke on the side ,place is really nice and host thoughtful. Better than pics .just Ac is not really strong and walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything from next door ,like everything. Beside that view is great, pool cute (closes at 10pm ) and usually no one is there . BBQ area is really cute . And you have laundry room and cooler that you can bring to the beach in every room . Beach chairs and stuff next to loundry area and so on. Really nice just I had problem with noise rooter over night and early morning and probelm with thin. Walls . So if you like to sleep longer and need really quiet please this is not . If you are early bird this place will be great ! Also you CANT be here with out car ! No way to walk even few minutes somewhere . Hills are really really sharp

Good day! Thanks so much for taking the time for a review. Yes, we do have abundant wildlife around here, including roosters. We are glad you appreciated the amenities and so sorry about any noise you experienced. Perhaps there was an issue with the A/C unit in your room and would have been great if you would have let us know so we could address it! Our location is such that many guests do not get a vehicle because it is a short 15 minute walk into town. There is a nice shortcut that only has one short hill and the longer route here is pretty much flat, so sorry you were not able to locate those routes during your stay, there is a map in the info book in your room explaining both routes. Hope to see you again on St John!

We stayed in the lily suite and it was perfect for four people. The loft stayed nice and cool with the ceiling fan and AC. We loved waking up in the morning and hearing the waves right outside of our bedroom. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Shower was not cleaned, floors not swept, glass plates missing in door allowing bugs in. Bugs- no see ums and 1 roach in every area. We had a toilet issue with hardly any assistance from management and when I fixed the problem not even a thank you. I will never stay here again

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. I am so sorry you did not have a great experience, that is not what we like to hear! To address a few of your concerns. All of our rooms are thoroughly cleaned before arrival. The shower and floors were cleaned. We do have jalousie windows and doors in our condo units which is great to allow the breeze, however your room did have one pane of glass missing in the front door. I do believe I explained to you upon arrival that the glass had fallen out and we are no longer able to locate anyone selling the glass we need and are looking into solutions for new doors. I am so sorry I did not thank you enough for plunging your toilet. I did have a maintenance person coming to address the issue. St John is a tropical paradise and what comes with that is the inconvenience of mosquitoes, no see ums and other pests such as roaches, sugar ants,etc. We do have a pest control program, but it would have been great for you to inform me at the time so we could address the issue. Unfortunately the mosquitoes and no see ums can only be addressed by wearing bug spray and being mindful to quickly close the sliding door and front door when entering and exiting the condo.

My wife and I stayed in the Petrea Suite. Coconut Coast was perfect and more beautiful than the photos. Best of all, our hosts Julie and David were the best. It is very rare to get exceptional service these days, but they went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed on our stay. Loved it and we will be back!

This property is a great value for the money. It is not 5 star but its on the water and the price is right. The managers provide excellent service and it has all the small things which make it great. Free use of beach chairs, new gas grill, small pool and porch area, laundry area, even a cooler to use on beach trips. They also have nice scuba gear to rent for the day at nominal cost. Close to everything in Cruz Bay - groceries, gas, restaurants. No beach but rent a jeep and and see the island. Plenty of on site parking. It is worth it.

Best place to stay on St. John
We loved the Coconut Coast Villas. If you are looking for a great place in Cruz Bay, do not hesitate and book this place ! They think of all the things you might need while on vacation on St. John . The rom was very spacious with a king bed,. The closet is large with ample space for hanging items, and there are shelves and drawers for each person to store things in. It is right on the ocean. It has a fully equipped kitchen. The shower was large and a walk in with good water pressure. They have beach chairs and coolers for guests wanting to go to the beach. They have a guest laundry at no charge. They have an honor bar with drinks for 2.00 each. They have parking for rental vechicles and give you a map that is the best map for getting around. They also give each room a welcome basket with coffee tea, sugar and cream so you can sit and have our morning coffee and watch the ocean waves from your balcony. The owners are hands on and give great tips on where to dine, swim, snorkel etc...They are very lovely people who are generally interested in helping their guests have the best stay on St. John. We stayed at a different, large chain hotel earlier in our trip and wish we would have spent our entire time at Coconut Coast. Just book it, you will be glad you did !
