The staff--especially Athena--were extremely helpful and eager to please. "This is a special place in a beautiful setting. While we used it as a base to explore the area, we made also made sure to relax in our beautiful courtyard and on premises. Our highlight was a cooking course with the two chefs, who were delightful and taught us a lot about Cretan cooking. The restaurant consistently produced high quality offerings for breakfast and dinner. We loved our stay here!"

Villa with private pool & sea view for absolute privacy and serenity.

"This villa exceeded our expectations in every level. The location was quiet and serene with sweeping views of the wild Cretan mountains, gorge and sea. The home was spacious, in excellent working order in all regards and had the most comfortable beds Coco Mat. The owners Nick and Vasiliki are great led us with a full course dinner, wine, olive oil and fruit which was completely unexpected but very much appreciated. They are excellent people who understand Filoxenia, a Greek term referring to hospitality. I highly recommend this property for your next stay Rethymno. A car rental is a must, fyi. "

Villa Koupos - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 6

Lovely peaceful stay in the mountains

"Our week long stay at Koupos Villa was exactly what we wanted; quiet and relaxing. The villa is beautifully finished and had all the necessary fixtures we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners were so helpful and kind, leaving some fruit and coffee with other essentials for when we arrived. They even changed bed linen and towels mid week which was a bonus. The outdoor setting of pool and bbq/pizza oven were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed making full use of them. The nearest shop was a 5 minute drive away in small nearby village and bigger supermarket (lidl) only 15 minute drive away. We enjoyed exploring Rethymnon one day and even walked around surrounding villages some evenings as sun was setting. would highly recommend this villa and would happily stay again in the future."
