"Good base for the week. Did have a couple of times people trying to get in as they thought it was part of the raptor foundation so had to have the door locked all the time. Walls are very thin so could hear the people next door snoring all night. There is a sign up in the bath room saying after 5days you get fresh linen and towels but this didnt happen, i stayed for 7nights. "We have just spent an amazing 5 nights here with friends ageing from 48 - 72 and a 14 year old. Carl was brilliant in communicating with me when I booked for the group and met us with a warm welcome on arrival. He gave a tour of the house giving us all the information we needed. Holiday Inn Express Peterborough, an IHG Hotel

Amazingly good for the price

"I loved this hotel. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room & bathroom were clean, with good quality shampoo, body wash and hand wash by Dove. The bathroom door did double service as a door that could close off the toilet area, which was a little awkward, but did mean one person could potentially use the toilet while another was cleaning their teeth. The settee & bed were comfortable, and the desk area was great too. I think the bed was only a 4'6" double, rather than a king - but that was fine for me on my own. The "wardrobe" was just an open rail, and I don't think there was a single drawer in the entire room. I managed ok, but my wife would have moaned about the lack of drawers. I am used to Holiday Inn Express in America, with low quality breakfasts served on a paper plate, with plastic cutlery, so I found the included breakfast, with proper plates & cutlery much better than I expected - with a variety of top brand cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, croissants, Danish pastries, a variety of jams, marmalades, honey, marmite, etc for the toast - together with a hot selection of Cumberland sausages, bacon, scrambled egg & beans, with proper Heinz ketchup, plus HP sauce - with enough staff to clear & clean the tables promptly. I also enjoyed the cappuccino, and selection of other coffees, teas & hot chocolate, as well as fruit juice. The bar seemed to have a decent selection of drinks, and a pleasant buzz in the evening. This is definitely a great hotel for the money."
