"Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park. Wish we had another day to do more exploring. The cabin is secluded, so stock up on groceries and charcoal for the grill before you arrive. "This is our second stay at this Drury Inn. It didn’t disappoint again. The staff was super friendly, cheerful, and helpful. The room was very clean and in good repair. We really enjoyed the social buffet. It’s nice to not have to get back in the vehicle for dinner after a long day of driving. Chicken fajita night. We thought the food was tasty and there were enough options without mammal ingredients that we had plenty to eat. Good breakfast selection…scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, biscuits, yogurt, assorted cereals, assorted breads, fresh fruit, and more. It’s a definite stop on our return home from visiting Colorado."
