"The staff were very accommodating and so relaxed; such a charming environment. The small downside was the small size of the shower and the absence of a freezer within the apartment. However, certainly excellent value for money, again, with wonderful and friendly personnel."

"PROS: The resort was very clean, the room modern and well stocked - there was a proper amount of pots and pans and cooking utensils to make use of the kitchen. There were four separate pools; the Splash Zone was well appointed centrally to all rooms. There is a bus stop right outside the resort that takes you into the main train stations and bus/train/tram fares are 50c for 2 hours making it accessible and cheap to reach the theme parks if this is your focus. Transport from the airport is easy; with a bus right at the arrivals terminal, and stopping right outside the resort; 50c per person for the trip (as at May 2026). VEGAN's: This is a vegan Mecca. Within a 3km radius there are dozens of options, including dedicated vegan eateries. CONS: We booked through a booking agency (Wotif), which clearly stated payment at the venue, despite sending evidence we were hassled and threatened cancellation of booking if we didn't pay; inadequate amount of towels supplied (two would be fair, plus a pool towel - not asking for $5 per towel deposit). A bond was required on top of full payment 7 days in advance; cash could be taken but not returned as cash, wallet pay requires a return by direct deposit to the bank account; and a normal card still yields 7-10 days for refund. This is not listed as a requirement in the Wotif booking info. The staff on the front counter appear indifferent to this, and the phone service blame the booking service for having limited info they can send."

"Cannot get a better location than this Mantra. Smack bang on the beach, between two sets of restaurants and bars. We were stoked that the spa and sauna worked (watch out for that sauna - higher than 80 degrees! :) as often you are disappointed when you get a hotel, thinking that the resort facilities are going to be amazing - and they're not working. Not the case here! Lovely stay, heaps of friendly staff. Free parking included... It was absolutely great. Nicely appointed room, which would do you well whether you were staying for 2 weeks or just overnight like us. Will stay again!"

"Good location, comfortable beds, good aircon. Those were the only positive things about this hotel. This hotel didn't meet minimum standards of being able to actually sleep. Saturday night there was a raging party in a nearby room from 9:30pm to midnight, this included screaming, yelling, karaoke, and loud music. We were honestly too tired to think about calling reception with the hope and expectation that someone on staff would have heard the noise and did something about it. Same again Sunday night except it started at 11pm and ended past 2am. This time we ended up calling reception 3 separate times to get it resolved eventually. The room is badly designed and fitted out. The window from the room to the bathroom is just weird and when someone gets up in the middle of the night the light wakes everyone up. The block out blinds are useless as they let in plenty of light around it (whatever happened to just using some nice curtains?). There is no table or desk in the room leaving you no where to put things down. To use the kettle you need to put it in the corner of the room on the floor or unplug the TV and put it on the TV cabinet. The toilet button is hard to flush and door can't close. The parking situation is just confusing with numerous sections labeled however with some garage doors left up, the signage disappears. There are little sparrows everywhere so your car gets covered in bird poop. The thumping dryer from next door is heard and felt through the walls. "

"First of all the location is excellent… right in the middle of the rainforest, although the drive up there is not for the faint hearted. My room was very basic, which was expected. The thing I didn’t like was that the door to the deck didn’t seal at all, so when the wind blew at night it rattled the blinds and kept me awake. Parking spots are very tight for even a modest size car. Food options were limited and expensive. If you are not in a self catering unit you run out of choices quickly. I didn’t do too many activities but the e-bike ride and the morning bird watch were great. I did several solo hikes which were also great. The view of the stars at night was stunning."
