"The apartment stunk of cigarettes, a non smoking property absolutely reeking of smoke. The fridge had half bottles of other guests drinks. There was a gas pipe sticking up in the middle of the bedroom. The toilet roll was the last few sheets of an old roll. The towel wasn’t fit to dry a wet dog. Disgusting. "Hele fijne locatie…mooie tuin met prachtig uitzicht. In de buurt niet veel te doen, maar er is vanalles ( petanquebaan, bbq, poolbiljart, sauna, spelletjes, etc) voorzien om je ter plaatse een aantal dagen prima te kunnen vermaken..Contact met host verliep ook prima…zijn makkelijk bereikbaar mocht je ze nodig hebben."

"A few minutes from the train and bus station. so really easy to get to. Didn't have much chance to explore Charleroi, but the hostel was nice. I booked a singe room, although this was just a private bed within a dorm, but still gave me a place to rest. (And a choice of beds) They also had plenty of sockets, as well as USB ports, allowing me to charge phone and battery pack. The breakfast was a nice addition in the morning and they also offer you the chance to take a packed lunch for later in the day with your exploring. The reception staff were really friendly and I believe they had a relaxing area, terrace and bar to enjoy too, although I did not get chance to make use of these."

"The hotel wasn't anything like described. The bar, restuarant, garden and terrace were all closed. But there are a couple of local restaurants nearby. The stairs up to our room were very tight. So it would be very difficult to use a large suitcase. Our room was half renovated. The bathroom was quite roomy and looked nice. But the flush on the toilet broke and there was no one to report it to. A small part fell off the shower while I was using it. A hairdryer was provided, but it was fixed so far up the wall , that I found it hard to use. There was a new wardrobe but the door ,shelves and mirror hadn't been secured ,so it was very dangerous, and unusable. They didn't provide any hangers. Therefore we had nowhere to put our clothes. On the plus side. We had free use of the coffee machine downstairs. The hotel was in a very good location and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel has a lot of potential . We found it expensive for what was offered at this time."
