We were so excited to rent this duplex when we booked. We paid a premium to stay here but thought it was worth it based on the pictures.
On the way there I had to message the owner to get the code to get in. This wasn’t that much of a big deal but when we were 45 minutes out from arriving it was worrisome.
Upon arrival i realized the exterior wasn’t taken care of. We pulled in and there was broken grills in the driveway and random pile of misfit ocean toys.
When going in the condo it immediately had a not so fresh smell and the walls were scratched. I noticed the floors were a cheap laminate floor and not like the pics or a cherry hard wood. The reason I bring this up is the laminate was put on the stairs and had a horrible threshold piece on each step making it very difficult to utilize and a fall hazard. The elevator had dirty carpeting that Made you not want to be barefoot.
Immediate issues: The hot tub was dirty on arrival, door handle to deck was broken, banister was broken with random nails hanging out(terrible for little kids), sheets had stains, top floor bathroom not clean, the decks should be condemned as they are falling in. No tables to eat outside, and just random patio furniture. I did communicate this to the owner and she was responsible and tried to blame everything on the previous renter. She scheduled, maintenance, cleaning, and pool service to come. I had to coordinate their schedules the next 2 days of my stay to arrive. Renter beware!
