"The stay was good. Easy to check in. Convenient location. Clean and good quality for the price paid. However i have stayed in the same room before and the hot tap in the basin worked. Not on this stay at all. There was hot water from the shower, but if you wanted a wet shave, bad luck! "

Beautiful spot and super dog friendly, with dog washing facilities as well as complimentary sausage for your dog at breakfast and doggy box in the room on arrival provided towels / dog blankets and bowl. "Location wise the hotel is ideally situated in the centre of town and has its own car park. The car park is tight to navigate, however any vaguely competent driver will be able to cope with it. The hotel certainly is in need of some sprucing up, the decor and furniture (with the exception of the bed) look like they've been there since the 80s or 90s. "This old coaching inn has been well revamped, service is first class. The food was excellent with good response to individual needs. Although pricey the rooms were up to a high standard. The roll top bath, with no screen, was a triumph of design over functionality. There was nowhere to put the soap! Having a shower without flooding the floor was tricky. The Chef produced first class dishes on every occasion. "

"An area of the bedroom carpet was very wet and we had to stand on it when accessing the wardrobe and when passing through the door. This was especially unpleasant during the night. The carpet showed no signs of drying out so the possible cause was a drainage leak from the adjacent shower room. The communal rubbish bins, located in the car park directly below the flats were overflowing with bagged and unbagged household rubbish dumped in many areas. It was likely that vermin would be attracted...
