Marika was friendly and provided great suggestions for our stay! The outdoor garden and seating areas were quite lovely. The location is perfect for walking to the sites and town. "I am frequent guest at the hotel and always enjoy my stay! The newly renovated room was too warm for sleeping, unfortunately, and the thermostat (in the bathroom only) did not allow for enough cooling. Letting you know in case this is an issue for other guests in the new rooms as well. Otherwise, all was perfect! "

"Loved staying at the IKEA Hotel before visiting the IKEA Museum. The hotel is actually fairly bare bones with rooms being small to encourage you to mingle with other guests and explore. Everything is clean and pristine and I loved how many places there were to sit. Unfortunately a large reason I was excited to stay at the hotel was to do my laundry as we were in the middle of our trip. One of their washers is broken. Their dryer default setting takes like 3 hours. There’s only 2 washer/dryer...

Room was clean, comfortable, cozy, and nicely appointed. Warm breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly and hospitable. I can’t emphasize enough how welcoming the staff was. I will definitely be staying at Slottshottelet next time I visit Kalmar. It truly felt like a home away from home."
